WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

While championing American Seal & Engineering Co. products, a business of Saint-Gobain, the Production Part Item Master, BOM Routing Administrator is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining all data related to product components (BOM) and manufacturing processes (Routing) QAD Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This includes ensuring accuracy, managing changes, and collaborating with engineering, accounting, customer service, procurement, and production teams to minimize errors, reduce delays, and support cost-effective manufacturing.

This role will assist and oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, processes and tooling for new and existing products. This support will include learning to utilize sound technical knowledge of materials, processes, techniques and products to improve on process performance and to reduce costs, to maximize production, and support new knowledge.

The incumbent assists in managing documents and projects effectively under moderate supervision by a technical leader, demonstrates an open and collaborative approach in all areas of responsibility, and seeks out others to enhance knowledge and streamline development and decision making. This position requires the ability to work semi-independently on simple to moderately complex assignments.

Key responsibilities

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP)
  • BOM and Routing Management: Create, update, and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routing sequences for all products. This includes defining components, materials, and the step-by-step process to manufacture a product.
  • Item Master Data: Manage and maintain item master data, which includes crucial information such as lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs).
  • Change Control: Process and implement engineering changes (ECNs/PCNs) by updating BOMs, routings, item master data, SOP’s Work Instructions accordingly.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality, procurement, production, and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, gather information, and ensure data integrity across departments.
  • Data integrity and accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data to support production planning, scheduling, cost control and process documentation.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues related to BOMs or routings that cause production errors or delays.
  • Reporting and analysis: Assist with generating reports and support ad-hoc requests related to production data.
  • Record keeping: Maintain all relevant documentation, such as databases and change logs via ERP, Monday.Com & EQMS, DocLib, 4ORMS or other required Saint Gobain document systems.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

HS Diploma - Required

Bachelors degree in engineering or manufacturing related field - Preferred

5+ Years Experience Working in similar capacity in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated technical judgment/accomplishments, project management, team collaboration and oral and written communication skills required

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $30.00 to $35.00 per hour. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

 

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 5% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $65,500 to $76,400. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
