WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Panel Line Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating and maintaining the panel/press line and related equipment used in the production process. This position involves monitoring blending and forming systems, handling raw materials, operating forklifts, operating aerial lifts, and ensuring product quality and operational efficiency.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 6:00 PM-4:00 AM (overtime may be required) 
Compensation: $20.00 per hour w/ $3.00 shift differential

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor the forming line and blending systems to ensure consistent production and quality standards.
  • Adjust controls and settings through a basic Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to maintain optimal operating conditions.
  • Troubleshoot and correct minor mechanical or process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Safely operate a forklift to load and unload paper rolls, raw materials, and finished products.
  • Safely operate aerial lifts to clear/clean plugged chutes.
  • Load and empty heated wax tanks as required for the production process.
  • Feed the board chipper and manage material flow into the forming system.
  • Adhere to all company safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures.
  • Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators as required.
  • Safely perform duties in confined spaces in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications
  • Ability to operate a forklift and aerial lift.
  • Perform routine cleaning of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe and organized production floor
  • Use basic hand and power tools for adjustments, repairs, and preventive maintenance as directed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, maintenance staff, and supervisors about production status and equipment issues.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a team environment.
  • Good attention to detail and quality control awareness.
Physical Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 12 hours).
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30- 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and fluctuations in temperature
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when required.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the pay rate for this position which is $20.00-$25.00 per hour. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 0-7% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
