Saint-Gobain/Omniseal Solutions location in Orange, CT is looking for a 1st Shift Shipping Specialist.

  • The 1st Shift work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Pay range is $20.00 to $35.00 per hour
  • In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.
  • Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include: Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5)

The Shipping Specialist is responsible for packaging and preparing finished products for shipment in accordance with customer and company specifications at our Orange facility. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role supports the daily processing of customer orders by ensuring accurate documentation, proper labeling, and compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations. The Shipping Specialist works with major carriers including UPS, FedEx, DHL, and DSV Freight, processes Bills of Lading and Advance Ship Notices (ASNs), and plays a key role in maintaining packaging inventory levels and a clean, safe work environment. This position requires someone who can work both independently and collaboratively, brings hands-on shipping experience, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Packaging & Preparation
• Packaging components per customer and company specifications
• Weighing packages and verifying counts
• Inspecting packages to ensure they are not damaged
• Reviewing shipping containers to ensure they meet regulations
• Sealing and labeling containers appropriately
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in adherence to company safety standards and 5S procedures
Shipping & Systems Operations
• Processing shipments via UPS, FedEx, DHL, and DSV Freight using online shipping systems and templates
• Inputting ASN information into customer-specific portals
• Completing BOLs and similar required documents for domestic and international shipments
Documentation & Record Keeping
• Ensuring proper quality and shipping documentation is included with each order
• Filling out packing and order forms with relevant shipping information
• Maintaining detailed records including delivery notes and invoices
Inventory & General Support
• Assisting the Shipping Lead in maintaining sufficient packaging inventory levels
• Providing information in support of customer inquiries and management requirements

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

High school diploma or equivalent - Required
3+ Years: Warehouse, Manufacturing and/or Packaging/Shipping Experience - Required
3+ Years: Export shipping & international experience - Preferred

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the local pay range for this position, which is $20.00 to $35.00 per hour or $41,600-$72,800. This hourly pay rate offered can vary depending on location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, shift differential, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $45,700.00 to $80,000.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.]
