WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Senior Supply Planner is accountable for planning the optimal utilization of production and  purchasing capacities to meet the demand forecast at targeted service levels while maintaining desired inventory.   This team member utilizes planning and optimization tools to continuously correct product over/under supply as well as direct required production, purchasing and inventory redeployment to fulfill customer demand.  In this role the Senior Supply Planner will facilitate extensive cross-functional interactions with Demand Planning, Sales, Production and Purchasing teams. This role has the secondary responsibility of oversight of the Material Master Data team for North America and ensure workflows and requests receive responses in a timely manner.
 
Create the SIOP Supply Plan. Gather and review demand, inventory and production data. Generate capacity plans and evaluate bottlenecks. Optimize throughput of production assets using optimization models, SAP and external planning software. Define alternative supply scenarios where supply demand imbalances may exist. Prepare supply planning topics  - equipment performance, bottlenecks, raw material supply risks  - for the supply review meeting. Facilitate the supply review meetings with the production sites. Apply constraints from the supply review meetings and create the long-term Supply Plan which includes the required production and purchasing volume by SKU by year and by month to support the Demand Plan and maintain desired inventory levels. Review the Supply Plan financial impact with finance.
 
Manage the Short-Term Supply Plan. Manage the short-term Supply Plan by week for the short-term planning horizon. Create a material requirement plan (MRP). Supervise the Supply Analyst to ensure the MRP is created in alignment with the Supply Plan. Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure required Purchase Orders are created in alignment with the Supply Plan.  Communicate required PO adjustments and ensure Procurement executes with suppliers accordingly. Analyze options to resolve supply disruptions.
Supply Planning Management and Control Create and report on the supply planning KPIs (supply plan attainment, changeovers, cost etc.). Lead cross-functional action teams to improve supply KPIs and/or resolve supply related issues. Provide guidance for supply disruptions. Manage the MRP process in SAP. Define and manage SAP MRP/MPS setting and master data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with SAP netting and expected output. Add and maintain items and item master components and attributes in SAP. Functions as an SAP MM/PP Super User. Establishes the supply plan for the annual budget. Provide feedback to Demand Planning on common forecasting issues
 
Communicate the SIOP Supply Plan. Present to senior leadership for the business on raw material risks, actual vs target KPI's, and measurement of OTIF scores in the North American organization. Prepare responses based on likely inquires and communicate success and mitigation plans. Collaborate seamlessly with all levels of the North American and global organization.
 
Manage the Material Master Data process in North America. Supervise the Material Master Data Specialist to ensure that SOPs are documented and followed accordingly. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on cross-functional projects involving a significant effort for Material Master Data code creation. Coordinate on behalf of North America organization with Global teams.

Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, IT or Finance major preferred
 
6+ years related Supply Chain/Inventory Planning experience in manufacturing Preferred
Knowledge of standard S&OP, SIOP or Integrated Business Planning methodologies  Preferred
Experience implementing best practice processes in supply planning as part of an integrated SIOP process Preferred
Experience implementing KPIs for supply planning Preferred
 
Other Knowledge and Ability (Knowledge of coding languages, interpersonal skills, etc.)
 
Skilled in the development and use of supply planning optimization software  Required
Highly skilled in the use of SAP required with focus on MM & PP Required
Advanced Excel and Power Point skills  Required
