WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Project Analyst for the Global Business Services organization at Saint-Gobain North America will be responsible for working on key strategic projects/programs that help support the optimization and integration of new technologies and processes. This role will help drive strategic initiatives while embracing best practices based on market research and customer needs. The support role requires a mix of strategic thinking, project analysis, and efficient prioritization. It is also extremely hands-on and requires detail-oriented execution skills. As Project Analyst, you will work on a team supporting and promoting project initiatives.
 
The position requires a proven collaborator who is forward thinking, seeks innovative solutions, and can balance analytical capabilities with creative and people focused insights to deliver results. Commitment to a strong service culture and willingness to contribute to an inclusive team environment is a critical component of the success of the role. The incumbent must have experience managing several tasks simultaneously and should have knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or accounting systems, such as SAP and/or QAD and knowledge of other accounting tools, e.g  - BlackLine, as well as internal controls, business compliance requirements and IT control requirements.
 
Key responsibilities include:
·    Participate in the execution and delivery of specific tasks to help project teams maintain an overall project vision with supporting project plans.
·    Advocate best practices and tools for task execution and management.
·    Identify assigned tasks dependencies, critical path items, and risks.
·    With assistance, plan, schedule, and track timelines and milestones.
·    Proactively manage changes in task scope, identify potential roadblocks, and devise contingency plans.
·    Develop and deliver progress reports to manager including issue/action item logs, task status, and risks. 
·    Assist in post go-live reviews and make recommendations for continuous excellence in task execution and delivery.
·    Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the team.
 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
·3+ years of experience working in a professional setting focused on improvement programs
·Demonstrated understanding of ERP platforms
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
·Practical experience contributing to projects that are software and IT infrastructure related, working directly with business/IT leadership to support project execution
·Proficient in MS Office products, with strong excel skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including managers and technical staff
·Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
·Team player who quickly builds trust and collaborative working relationships
- Strong organizational and process skills, as demonstrated by an ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks to achieve milestones and objectives
