2023 outlook upgraded

• Record margin of 11.3% and record operating income of €2,813m (approximately $3.11 billion) despite a difficult environment
• Significant operating income growth in North America, Asia and emerging countries, which represent over 60% of the Group’s earnings
• Strong increase in free cash flow, up 30% at €2,192m (approximately $2.43 billion)
• Double-digit operating margin expected in full-year 2023 for the third consecutive year, demonstrating the Group’s resilience

Saint-Gobain North America, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed LLC, has upgraded key equipment throughout its insulation plant in Athens, GA, which is projected to save over 7,300 MWh of energy and 20 million gallons of water annually, while reducing landfill waste by over 5,000 MT.

Saint-Gobain North America, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed LLC, today announced the opening of its newest CertainTeed Architectural facility in Conyers, Georgia. The plant will be co-located with finishing partner Quality Powder Coating (QPC), allowing Saint-Gobain to drastically reduce the distance its products must travel to finalize production, reducing its CO2 emissions by over 50 million pounds per year.

Saint-Gobain North America, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed Interior Products Group, today announced plans to invest $235 million over the next two years to expand its CertainTeed gypsum manufacturing facility in Palatka, Florida, more than doubling the production capacity of the existing manufacturing plant and creating over 100 new, permanent jobs.

Saint-Gobain, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed LLC, has installed a smart water submetering system and upgraded equipment at its siding plant in Jackson, Michigan, reducing the site’s consumption of water by more than nine million gallons per year, a reduction of more than 50% compared to 2019 levels.

Specifically, the company was honored with two silver Stevies® in the categories of Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility and Achievement in Environment, Social, and Governance, and a bronze Stevie® in the category of Achievement in Human Resources.
