CARE:4 stands for “Company Actions for the Reduction of Energy by 4.” The goal of Saint-Gobain's global CARE:4 program is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions of company-owned buildings by a factor of four by 2040.

LCA is an analytical tool used to quantify and interpret the flows to-and-from the environment (e.g., emissions, consumption of energy, etc.) over the entire life cycle of a product, process or service. By including the impacts throughout the product life cycle, LCA provides a comprehensive view of the environmental aspects of the product and an accurate picture of the environmental costs/benefits of product selection.
