Saint-Gobain has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Xypex, a global leader in crystalline waterproofing admixtures and coatings, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. 

Xypex provides its differentiated solutions in more than 100 countries and employs approximately 170 people with sales of C$110 million expected in 2026. The company has established itself as the reference brand in crystalline waterproofing – with a strong position in infrastructure and specification-driven construction markets – in North America, as well as in Asia-Pacific and in Europe. 

Saint-Gobain, the worldwide leader in light and sustainable construction, today announced it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a glass fiber plant located in Lexington, NC from Nippon Electric Glass’ Electric Glass Fiber America (EGFA) subsidiary.

Northborough, Mass – Saint-Gobain today announced the rebranding of five Research and Development sites, previously known as Saint-Gobain Research, to regional Innovation Hubs, with a renewed customer focus and emphasis on collaboration within and across business lines. The Saint-Gobain Northborough campus, which celebrated its fortieth anniversary last year, was named the new “Innovation Hub North America” for Saint-Gobain, making it a central location for research and development in North America.
