Community Relations & Philanthropy Manager

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Community Relations and Philanthropy Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Saint-Gobain North America Foundation non-profit operations and strategic partnerships, as well as guiding the Group’s community relations efforts, volunteer programs and employee engagement in North America. The primary role of the Community Relations and Philanthropy Manager is to develop, implement, and execute the strategic vision of the Foundation in alignment with the company's corporate social responsibility goals and objectives. This includes strategic planning, campaign support, National Partnership management, community relations, employee volunteer programs, budgeting, grant reviews, stakeholder engagement, and reporting. The Manager will work closely with Foundation board members, employees, and internal and external partners to drive Saint-Gobain North America’s corporate social responsibility impact and enhance the company's philanthropic efforts in alignment with the Saint-Gobain’s Purpose, vision, and values. This is a high-impact role that requires strong leadership, an ability to manage outreach and relationships across multiple business units, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills to drive positive social impact.

 Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with the director to develop and implement the annual planning of the Saint-Gobain North America Foundation in alignment with the strategic vision of the Foundation board.
  • Manage the allocation of the Foundation’s annual budget, including distribution of community gifts, direct grants, and matching gifts.
  • Manage relationships across the organization including relationships with the foundation board, and relationships business unit leaders and contacts.
  • Handle all day-to-day operations of the Foundation, including budgeting, financial management, and administration, and ensure the effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Oversee the grant-making process, including identifying potential grant recipients, conducting due diligence, and ensuring compliance, to support organizations and initiatives that align with the Foundation's priorities.
  • Manage external vendor partnerships that provide support and services for the SGNA Foundation programs and platforms (Benevity and American Charities).
  • Create structure, clear business processes and guidance to support designated regional committees who serve the SGNA Foundation by recommended grants and volunteer opportunities to best support local community needs.
  • Design and implement giving campaigns in support of Saint-Gobain philanthropic and community engagement activities with emphasis on localized employee engagement for volunteer programs and community-based giving initiatives.
  • Design and implement community outreach strategies and plans; work with stakeholders and employees at all levels of the organization to build relationships, grow engagement and increase volunteer participation in strategic programs and grassroots initiatives aligned to the Foundation’s mission and objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the SGNA Foundation’s programs and initiatives and prepare regular reports for senior leadership to demonstrate the foundation’s progress and impact
  • Collaborate with communications team to design communication and marketing strategies to promote the SGNA Foundation’s activities and build awareness and support for the SGNA Foundation.
  • Create links between Saint-Gobain North America’s mission and purpose to the community by raising positive awareness of the company’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in the required field, such as business administration, nonprofit management, philanthropy, communications or social sciences.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing corporate foundations and/or large non-profit organizations across large regions, corporate social responsibility programs, volunteer programs and volunteer engagement in highly matrixed entities.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter who is highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of initiative, judgment, and decisiveness in accomplishing tasks; must be able to work both independently and with a team.
  • Self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including senior management.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic plans, managing budgets, and evaluating impact in highly matrixed entities
  • Passion for CSR, networking and building relationships internally and in the community.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable addressing and engaging with diverse communities at various levels and mediums, including with corporate leadership teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices related to corporate foundations.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for project management, data analysis, and communication.

Night Shift Maintenance Supervisor

What’s the job?

  • Directly supervises the hourly skilled maintenance employees in the improvement and maintenance of plant equipment, building maintenance, machinery, utilities etc. Will lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance to all safety, environmental and health policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Organize and structure planned and unplanned repairs and preventive maintenance routines in a manner that will ensure efficient operation of equipment and plant operating systems.
  • Communicates & documents employee expectations and assess employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities of maintenance crews and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees
  • Assists in performing root-cause analysis as well as implementing sustainable countermeasures on losses related to equipment/machinery failure.
  • No travel.
  • Night Shift Schedule:  Expect to work a 12-hour crew 7pm to 7am three days one week and four days the next alternating with every other weekend off.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

What do you bring?

  • A four-year degree in a related field is preferred. A technical diploma in the fields of engineering or manufacturing is recommended.  Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5- 7 years of maintenance supervisory experience leading small to medium-sized teams in a fast-paced continuous manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to include hydraulic, pneumatic and power transmission equipment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • General understanding of ISO standards and methodology.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, UKG and SAP.
