This position is responsible for device history record review. Final audit, packet inspections, checking oven sheets, outside testing, outside processing, approving gamma shipments. Also GDP packets during production process as well as NCR review.

This position is granted the authority to place on hold, accept or reject product on established criteria, and interrupt unsatisfactory processes.

Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

Interact with all departments, vendors and customers (internal and external) to assure quality processes and products.

Industrial Electrician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This position is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient electrical maintenance of production equipment to meet operating standards and manufacturing needs. The position consists of electrical maintenance of plant equipment, high-speed packaging equipment, sand conveyor systems, gas-fired burners, transfer conveyors, pumps, as well as mobile equipment. The plant has a variety of electrical equipment, including Allen Bradley PLCs & VFDs, Danfoss drives, Modicon PLC’s and Ethernet communications. Working as part of a dynamic team, the position will be involved in all aspects of planned/unplanned electrical maintenance using Continuous Improvement tools and methods (TPM). This is a representative position and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Duties:

  • Read and understand electrical prints and schematic drawings
  • Troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical controls, including 460-volt, three-phase motors and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controlled (PLC) equipment, including Allen Bradley and Modicon controllers
  • Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motors and equipment
  • Perform electrical control design work and equipment control modifications
  • Perform electrical equipment installations according to the National Electrical Code (NEC), including all feeder and branch circuits
  • Maintain a safe work environment and the safety management of assigned employees. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and property loss. Required to complete safety audits/inspections of the assigned work area; thorough investigations of incidents and accidents, job safety analysis, and periodic safety meetings
  • Support 5S and World Class Manufacturing initiatives
  • Work within the Safe Work Process and Permitting procedures in CertainTeed Roofing Inc.
  • Other duties as assigned

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • An Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related one-year industrial electrical trade school training preferred
  • An electrician's license is desired

Provided is the pay rate for this position, which is $43.80 per hour, plus first and second shift differentials of $0.60/hr and $0.70/hr. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.

Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:

Process Technician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

GENERAL FUNCTION

Under the direction of the Process Technician Supervisor, the position is accountable for performing extrusion process trouble shooting, improving the production process through capability studies, design of experiments and training. The position provides assistance for color formulation issues, works with the operators and set-ups to assist with NDC units, X-tore color units, and defect detection cameras. The position also supports managing daily manufacturing reports and Quality Data Management Systems (QDMS).Monitors the condition and location of extrusion tooling and equipment.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safety: Identify & Report EHS risks, hold others accountable for safety expectations.
  • Quality: Operate & maintain online product inspection equipment. Provide daily summary reports to plant leadership [managers, supervisors, process, process engineers, other quality group members, etc.].
  • Housekeeping: Consolidate barrels, clean contaminants from barrels, and maintain 5S standards in concentrate areas.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in line trials. Ensure reutilization of regrind. Maintain and ensure panel weight specs are met.
  • Training & Engagement: Support training of new packers, helpers & operators. Complete training assessments. Participate in Area Lead development.
  • Program & Line Support: Conduct daily 5s audits. Address any centerlining abnormalities. Assist extrusion operator in purging line, start-ups, setups, hang ups, filling hopper, etc. Perform color and product changes according to plant procedure. Monitor and support product & color changes. Troubleshoot and support production needs.
  • Tooling & Equipment: Ensure tooling/fixtures functionally match design specification and are in-place for daily line changes.Perform adjustments, troubleshoot and tooling changes as needed.
  • Materials & Supplies: Organize, track & distribute all color concentrates on-site.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • HS diploma or GED required
  • 2-year technical degree, and/or through extensive experience in an extrusion operations environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software
  • Must have extensive knowledge of extrusion systems and processes, and a general understanding of the continuous manufacturing environment.
  • Must have the ability to analyze and interpret technical documents.
  • This position may require infrequent travel to assist in troubleshooting other manufacturing process or logistic difficulties.
  • This position is exposed to newly designed products materials, and a high level of confidentiality must be practiced.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to move heavy objects safely, not to exceed 50 pounds, without requiring assistance.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain licensure for a motor vehicle and a lift truck.
  • There are also frequent and prolonged periods of standing/walking and pushing /pulling or moving/lifting supplies.
  • This position experiences frequent/occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders or stairs.
  • This position is located within a vinyl siding manufacturing facility and requires the position can work in an environment that can be noisy and dusty.
  • The ability to withstand heat and chemical odors is also required with ability to work up to 12 hour shifts.
  • Must comply with all safety requirements including use of the personal protection equipment required for this position.

  • Perform safety inspections and report all unsafe conditions or Near Miss events immediately.

What’s the job?

Under the supervision of the Production Shift Supervisor, the Lead Operator will spend their time operating and closely monitoring equipment and plant systems during a constant material flow process.   • Schedule and manage training / rotation plans for employees on respective shifts.
  • Perform plant rounds to assess plant production systems adherence (Autonomous Maintenance / Housekeeping / Duty sheets, Operating procedures, Production Reporting and other activities related to the production).
  • Lead Continuous improvement activities related to production systems.
  • Assist team members with training, objectives and daily production line concerns.
  • Communicate across departments to ensure plant operation is maintained efficiently
  • Fully trained and component in key positions within the department (Mixer & Bundler).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the above roles and relieve positions when needed to support department needs.
  • Maintains, monitors, and understands all equipment in the designated area and how it affects the process.
  • Review, request changes, and implement operational Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Operates equipment by use of a Human Machine Interface (HMI) System.
  • Performs start-up and shut-down procedures for all related equipment each week.
  • Performs Lock out Tag out (LOTO) and other safety procedures needed
  • Conducts pre-shift team meetings to relay status of Operations, Safety, and Quality for the day.
  • Assists the Production Team on all product changeovers.
  • Establishes Housekeeping and 5S Standards.
  • Actively contributes to WCM (World Class Manufacturing) processes (Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing).
  • Offers suggestions or recommendations for improvement of plant equipment.
  • Acknowledges others when spoken to in a professional manner.
  • Resolves interpersonal differences in a professional manner.
  • Performs and Manages AM / CIL Duties (Work Orders) on Area Equipment.
  • Utilizes and facilitates Area Improvement Board to track issues and communicate.

You will work with a great branch team to deliver the following:

  • Understand customer needs and advise best solutions for a positive customer experience
  • Address client inquiries regarding order status and complete order adjustments in a timely manner and creating new customer accounts for sales team
  • Verify pricing and availability of product with outside sales/customers. Adjust pricing for customers when necessary and apply refunds/returns for customer accounts
  • Liaise with head office and other branches from across Canada to solicit inventory to meet customers’ needs
  • Updating, referencing, and maintaining customer accounts in our inventory/CRM system
  • Enter orders for other branches in accordance with procedures for special materials and interbranch shipping
  • Updating and referencing the company’s CRM system (Oracle)
  • Supply and inform clients of pricing, credit terms as well as entering orders in system
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues and offer solutions to our customers achieve their goals

The Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) is a strategic role responsible for cultivating and managing high-value relationships with suppliers providing key Finance & Accounting (F&A) services to the Saint-Gobain Shared Services Center in North America.   • Serve as the primary point of contact for managing risk and compliance as part of contractual governance and service delivery requirements.
  • Act as the central point of contact for all user access provision requirements, company asset management, and the like for suppliers.

  • Manage coding and data entry for invoices promptly on WISL system.

  • Monitor, review & reconcile Accounts Payable supplier statements with Oracle data to ensure payments are current according to respective payment schedule.

  • Maintain organized financial filing systems, both paper and electronic.
  • Provide support in account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of previous Accounts Payable and related problem-solving experience.
  • Sound understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience using accounting platforms including Oracle & WISL Freight system is an asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

POSITION SUMMARY

Shift: 3rd shift, 10PM-6AM

In alignment with company vision, mission, values, and objectives, the mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, maintain and improve mechanical systems with intent of improving uptime and efficiency.

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Work hours with occasional optional as well as mandatory overtime necessary to meet deadlines or objectives
  • Works in a manufacturing plant environment which may include exposure to industrial solvents, liquids and other materials.
  • Work with an awkward posture for 2 hours or more.
  • The working environment will extend to both hot and cold conditions Work in hot environments exceeding 110 degrees and dusty confined spaces.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary to comply with government and company safety standards. Job includes tasks that require bending, lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs., twisting, gripping and stair climbing. Willing and able to work at heights.

Compensation

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The base pay for this position is $41.08 per hour plus shift differential of $0.60 for swing shift and $0.70 for night shift.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
