WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The goal of a Planner at SG Wayne is to strategize, drive accuracy between customer forecast and inventory levels. The primary focus of this role is to maximize cash flow by predicting accurate sales and services levels through an effective implementation of SIOP Process (sales/inventory/operations planning).

This position maintains a constant relationship with the sales, customer service, finance, purchasing and manufacturing teams to understand the demand forecasting drivers. You will challenge the forecasts from the sales teams and the usual runs with relevant data analysis. Improve the forecasts accuracy with transversal coordination actions and updates of the Supply Chain Planning tool. Be responsible for running, analyzing and reviewing reports pertaining to forecast accuracy and adjust POs accordingly and communicate changes and analyze and track freight spend at the site and optimize shipments to maintain correct inventory levels and manage freight spend.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or other related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a planning, master scheduling and production scheduling capacity. Understanding of JIT, Time Based Manufacturing, BOM’s, routings and planning parameters is essential.  Understanding how SIOP works and able to implement such is required.
  • Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel and familiarity with MRP/ERP software systems is necessary as well as excellent analytical skills, combined with good oral and written communication skills.
  • Having excellent organization, planning, and follow up skills will lead to success at this position.

Essential functions will include:

Upstream management:

  • Being a key member of the New Job Report process by maintaining a constant relationship with the sales, marketing, finance, sourcing and manufacturing teams to understand the demand forecasting drivers.
  • Effectively Challenging the forecasts from the sales teams and the usual runs (historical data, seasonality, market trends, special offers, budgets…) with relevant data analysis.
  • Improve the forecasts accuracy (statistical models, software…) with transversal coordination actions and updates of the Supply Chain Planning tool.

Analysis:

  • Analyze quantity and financial forecasts.
  • Report of forecasts and inventory KPIs.
  • SIOP Meeting with the team on a Quarterly basis and effective usage of SIOP tool for Wayne
  • Follow inventory level and implement and improvement plans. Work with Category Manager to provide accurate information for global consolidation of raw material.
  • Analyze freight spend and implement appropriate consolidations for optimizing costs.

In process Management

  • Maintain item master, BOM, routing and other system data, particular with respect to planning and purchasing.

Downstream management:

  • Coordinate the customer projects with Supply Planning.
  • Manage Inventory levels.
  • Communicate the product inventory strategies (high runners, new products, substitutions, end life…) to the Supply Planning team.
  • Tune the forecasts and inventory rules according to the demand and market trends.
  • Generate, review and analyze actual demand vs. forecast demand. Assess data, trends and update forecast as needed.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $87,400-TTC to $135,800-TTC. Software Engineer - Digital Manufacturing

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

As part of Digital Manufacturing, this position will help serve projects relating to Production, Quality and Maintenance within our 70+ manufacturing sites throughout North America.

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable solutions on the backbone of Ignition and its integrated MES system, Sepasoft. This role contributes to CertainTeed’s digitization and digital transformation of all processes across CertainTeed’s diverse product lines. This position will be based in Malvern, PA reporting to the Sr. Manager DevOps & Technical Integration.

This role will be mentored and grown into an engineering expert within the systems and functions relating to MES, Scada, PLC, Sensors, Historians and Data Tagging, and have a heavy emphasis on the Ignition platform.

In this role, you will: 

  • Program and troubleshoot SCADA and MES solutions (Design, develop, deliver, and evolve MES HMI and Mobility solutions)
  • Advocate for high-quality Ignition/Sepasoft practices, standards and leading by example
  • Participate in rotating on-call shifts and on-the-floor Production Operation support to ensure rapid problem-solving and efficient operations in a 24/7 factory environment
  • Set development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation (Deploying appropriate CI/CD tools)
  • Write and troubleshoot scripts, SQL queries, and logic to integrate data sources, SAP/ERP and automated processes and 3rd party systems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, Manufacturing, Operations,electrical and automation engineers, and operators, to deliver successful SCADA projects
  • Provide training and support to end-users as needed
  • Travel up to 25%

What’s the job?

Under the supervision of the Production Shift Leader, the position is accountable for Safety, Quality, Housekeeping and packing finished siding and accessory products at the Jackson Plant.

The Production employee is responsible for producing a quality product for our customers that supports our slogan of quality made “Certain” satisfaction guaran “Teed”. Adherence to all company safety policies and precautions while performing productions tasks and at all times when on the premises.

Day Shift: 6am - 6pm

Night Shift: 6pm - 6am (Hiring only at this time)

Shift Schedule over a 2 week period - 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on. Work 15 days per month, work every other weekend (fri, sat, sun) but have off (fri, sat., sun) the next week

Pay: $17-$18 per hour

Job Functions:

  • Pack vinyl siding panels after cut off from extrusion process, follow nesting pattern and quality requirements.
  • Ensure the safety, quality, housekeeping, for the assigned areas as directed by the Production Shift Leader
  • Assist operator with line set-up, including stringing the line
  • Cut packing straps to length for boxes
  • Assemble and glue boxes
  • Visually inspect each siding panel for color or other visual defects
  • Inform operator or Area Lead of any visual defects or problems before scrapping product
  • Monitor hot glue levels, restock as needed
  • Label and number packing boxes
  • Load siding boxes onto skid
  • Strap skids to prepare for removal to warehouse
  • Perform line housekeeping duties
  • Train other packers as needed
  • Perform other management assigned tasks

Environmental Conditions: The manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as forklifts, buggies, genie booms, and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

What do you bring?

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must complete associated training programs
  • Interfacing with a computerized process monitoring system requires knowledge and skills in the areas of computer navigation
  • Must have a valid forklift license and complete associated training requirements for safe operations and maintenance of the forklift
  • Must have a valid State-issued Driver’s License
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts on days and nights

Physical/Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week and speak clearly so others understand; vision acuity for this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception

OSI System Technician

The On-Site Infrastructure Systems Technician maintains the server and infrastructure in all Canada by tracking infrastructure activity, performing upgrades of OS software, maintaining server hardware, addressing technical problems, and improving efficiency by evaluating system functions.

On-Site Infrastructure Systems Technician are tasked with ensuring all DSI guidelines and security doctrine are complied with and reporting on global objectives around OSI. On-Site Infrastructure Systems Technician are responsible for managing business/customer needs and expectations and working closely with the business on infrastructure projects. 

Day to day activities will include server operations, system development projects, capacity planning, customer relations, and technical documentation.  An estimated 20% travel will be required within Canada regularly, minimum US travel.

  • Support, manage, develop, implement, and troubleshoot on-site infrastructure, including NetBackup server, NetApp server, Windows Servers, and Linux servers.
  • Provide support for local data rooms at remote locations.

Your profile: 

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree/college diploma in the field of computer science or 5 -7 years’ equivalent work experience.  Work experience consists of managing and configuring enterprise infrastructure solutions and equipment.
  • 5+ years’ experience managing and configuring enterprise network infrastructure solutions and equipment.
  • Bilingual in French/English preferred
  • Skills and attributes that are essential for this position are strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.  The OSI System Tech will need to be able to solve various software and equipment failure problems.  75% of the problems will be standard IT problems that occur in other industries.  The remaining 25% of the problems are specific to Saint Gobain and will require unique solutions.
  • The incumbent will have responsibilities to analyze and resolve problems related to On Site Infrastructure and Industrial Infrastructure.  These problems will be reported through the user service desk or will be identified by the incumbent.  The position will require specific training and knowledge to enable cause/effect analysis and ample know-how for the incumbent to resolve the problem independently or contact the proper resource to assure a timely resolution.

Position Summary

The Project Engineer will work on projects of varying size and complexity across the country.  The focus will be to develop and deliver projects in a cost effective and timely manner by using tools such as project plans, timelines, and strong collaboration with the technical and operations teams. What is the job?

 

PAY RANGE: $22.58 - $30.54

 

The job objectives are to safely transport finished product and non-conforming product to multiple pre-determined locations in the plant. The primary way of transporting this material is using a sit-down forklift truck. The material is removed from equipment on a continuous production line after proper labelling and sorting has taken place. Tasks such as quality inspection of material and equipment inspection is to be completed frequently to ensure that the production line continues flowing during the process. Team communication along with safe work practices are essential and required to maintain steady process from start to finish.

• Operate a sit-down forklift moving wallboard into the select locations, moving pallets of raw materials, and equipment parts.

Job Summary

    • Provides process direction & training to operators.
    • Lead cross functional team activities to identify top issues, plan and implement appropriate corrective actions, and track and validate effectiveness.
  • Explore, investigate, and implement the processes, production methods and equipment of the future with a strong inclination to Industry 4.0. This includes:
