The Quality Manager is primarily responsible to lead and enhance the quality operations, systems, and levels in a fast paced manufacturing environment. This position will have ownership for understanding all market (AS-9100/IATF-16949/ISO 9001/ISO 14001, NQA-1, VDA) and customer quality requirements and coordinating with the Quality (Assurance & Control) Team to ensure proper implementation.

The Quality Manager will ensure the plant adheres to regulatory and company quality policies, procedures and operating guidelines. Working closely with operations, customers, and suppliers they will focus on meeting customer requirements and specifications and oversee internal and external audits, including customer and third-party certification audits. They will ensure PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and Control Plans are implemented and maintained accurately, drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) using structured problem-solving methods (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, and 8D), monitor and analyze key quality metrics (e.g., PPM, FPY, COPQ) and take data-driven action.

The Quality Manager will also be responsible to foster a culture of accountability, quality ownership, and continuous improvement throughout the plant through leading, coaching, and team building.

Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead coach and develop the Quality Teams in Quality Assurance and Control directly and collaborate across teams building a culture around Trust, Empowerment, and Collaboration within the focus of Quality.
    • Develop Quality Assurance and Control teams technical and collaboration skills
    • Develop succession planning to ensure robust coverage of processes and leadership roles.

  • Implementation and oversight of a Quality Management System that operates in compliance with corporate quality policies and procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements and industry guidance, including:
    • Implementation of document control and review/approval of controlled documents
    • Implementation of change management and review of all change controls
    • Complaint management including robust root cause analysis and CAPA
    • Implementation of an effective Internal Audit Program

  • Customer Management, including:
    • Facilitate/host customer audits
    • Ensure robust and effective corrective action to customer audit observations.
    • Partner in the resolution of Quality Issues and requests for information by initiating effective interdepartmental communication.
    • Manage ISO/AS/IATF Certifications & Maintenance of certification
    • Lead efforts related to initial product approvals within the team including APQP, PPAP, FAIR, audits, etc.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical discipline is required.
  • Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline or quality is preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a quality function in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • 5+ year' experience Supervision of hourly and/or salaried quality personnel is required.
  • Knowledge of AS-9100, IATF-16949, APQP, PPAP.
  • Understanding of modern quality inspection equipment and tools.
  • Expertise in problem solving methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Must have initiative, strong organizational and decision-making skills, and a high degree of customer orientation.
  • Expertise in Industrial 4.0 areas such a vision systems, automated inspection, and data analysis is preferred.
  • Strong in use of statistical techniques and disciplined problem solving methods. Effective use of analytical thought process to implement solutions to issues that arise while maintaining site goals.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,200 to $178,500. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

EHS Leader

The EHS Leader will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance relating to Environmental, Health and Safety Programs, including Sustainability Roadmap, and coordinate personnel, material and technical resources to optimize equipment and facility usage.

Implementing, maintaining, and facilitating continuous Environmental, Health, & Safety objectives and improvements for the Orange plant. With strategic guidance from the central EHS function this position will ensure federal and local legislative compliance, develop an autonomous EHS culture, define EHS standard operating procedures, provide EHS training, develop risk identification, and risk reduction methods, all achieved through participation and employee engagement.

The EHS Leader will proactively work to implement a safe work environment that complies with the site specific and corporate safety goals. Exhibit good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

This role will work in close collaboration and partnership with the site Facilities and EHS Technician.

Compliance:

  • Implement all Saint Gobain EH&S initiatives as well as the sites environmental and safety management system (ISO14001 guidelines). Completes required reporting as needed.
  • Research and coordinate all communications with regulatory agencies pertaining to environmental, health and safety issues. Keeps abreast of and assesses compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations to include all air and discharge permitting, reporting and documentation, 300 Log, TRI and SDS requirements.
  • Conducts EHS related audits both internal and external, to ensure compliance and monitor for potential issues
  • Partners with site leadership to ensure the proper disposal of hazardous waste, solid wastes, and recyclables and maintains records and/or reports thereof.

Training/Communication:

  • Coordinate and conduct training for the site as it pertains to EHS matters (for example LOTO, HAZCOM, etc.).
  • Responsible for contractor’s training and associated permits and authorization.
  • Consults with employees and contractors on aspects of the design and use of equipment and facilities as they relate to all safety functions, within the assigned functional area.
  • Promotes Behavioral Based Safety throughout facility (including SMATs)
  • Ensures communication methods are effective, and employee concerns and suggestions receive prompt response by management.
  • Leads Site Safety Pillar.

Collaboration:

  • Responsible for development and implementation of EHS Policies, Procedures and Programs to continually improve, in collaboration with site leadership.
  • Supports site leaders in establishing and maintaining EHS operational controls and monitoring/measuring processes, including changes to new and existing documents and or processes.
  • Manages incident investigations and conducts root cause analysis, cause mapping and development of corrective actions with site team.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Bachelors Degree in Safety and/or Environment is required, but would consider other technical degree with appropriate experience. Consideration may also be given to those in lieu of a degree, with alternative technical education, and at least 10+ years' EHS experience.
  • 8+ years’ related EHS experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong IT Skills - Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer based reporting system.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead, train, and instruct others.
  • Collaboratively coordinate activities to achieve EHS initiatives
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills written and oral and analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Previous project management experience, with ability to design, manage, and implement projects of a technical nature. Able to keep track of multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices
  • Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of air handling, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems.

The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,200.00 to $155,100.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Answer phones quickly, professionally, courteously, and direct incoming calls to appropriate individuals.

The Role

The successful candidate will exercise a working knowledge of the theories and practice of electric, electronic, pneumatic, combustion, and instrumentation systems; including test equipment. The Electronic Controls Repairperson will read, understand and work from all types of drawings, prints, and system diagrams and specifications with the highest degree of skill in their performance of maintenance installation and troubleshooting. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of the range of voltages, Allen Bradley PLCs, instrumentation experience, troubleshooting 4-20 mA circuits, variable frequency drives, power generators, transformers, lighting, and servos along with Yokogawa DCS systems.

The starting pay is $40.17/hour and the rotating schedule is as follows:

Training Coordinator

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Training Coordinator will be responsible to ensure our team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties successfully.  The role involves leading employees through on the job practical, hands on training combined with classroom and procedural training.  The incumbent will support supervisors and managers increasing and tracking overall competency and development.  The Training Coordinator will enhance training programs, including developing processes and training documents. This role will require a daily presence on the shop floor, working alongside operators and engineers to develop a thorough understanding of our manufacturing processes, documenting these processes, and creating and delivering high-quality and engaging training to new and existing operators. Working with the HR and Operations managers, the incumbent will identify opportunities for process improvements and work to evaluate and bring improvements into practice.
