Participation in training sessions and quarterly events is mandatory to complete the program. Participants are expected to attend all activities unless exceptional circumstances arise.

While start dates may vary, the EOM program officially begins each July and concludes 18 months later, in December of the following year. After completing the program, EOM engineers work closely with our dedicated HR team to identify an operational role at one of our 160 sites across North America. Process Engineer (Essential Of Manufacturing)

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Manufacturing is evolving rapidly, and Saint-Gobain is leading the way.

We are entering an exciting time in the world of manufacturing. At Saint-Gobain North America, we’re asking the questions that will take our plants to the next level: Manufacturing 4.0. Whether you're starting your career or looking to transition into the manufacturing field, our 18-month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) program represents the first step in your journey with us. This program is part of a full-time, permanent position and supports the first 18 months of your career at Saint-Gobain.

Every challenge overcome, every skill acquired, and every lesson learned during the 18-month program will help shape you into a forward-thinking engineer.

To achieve this:

  • We will prepare you for a dynamic career at a pivotal moment in the next manufacturing revolution.
  • We will teach you how to apply academic theory to real-world manufacturing practices.
  • We will inspire you to make a meaningful impact on the evolution of our plants.

Program Overview:

Our 18-month development program places participants in a full-time operational role, giving them the opportunity to strengthen their manufacturing skills while gaining exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Each participant is assigned to a manufacturing site for 18 months and travels quarterly to other Saint-Gobain facilities across North America. Participants spend 80% of their time on local site projects and 20% on EOM program activities.

Many of these activities are designed to accelerate career development and long-term professional growth, including virtual and classroom training, hands-on learning experiences, and a wide range of networking opportunities.

While placement is not guaranteed, most graduates of the EOM program are able to choose from multiple opportunities within Saint-Gobain.
