Program Summary:

 

Our 18-month development program provides participants a full-time operational role, designed to improve their manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Participants will be located at one singular manufacturing plant for 18 months and will be involved with quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain manufacturing sites in North America. The time split between local site projects and EOM program activities is 80:20 respectively. Classroom-based E-learnings, hands-on action-based learning in operational environments as well as a plethora of networking opportunities, are just some of the activities in place designed to accelerate your career development and future career growth. These trainings and quarterly travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. While start dates for EOM program participants may vary, program activities kickoff each year in July and end 18 months later in December of the following year. Upon program completion, EOM Engineers will work with our dedicated Human Resources team to find an operational role in one of our nearly 160 sites throughout North America. While a final placement role is not guaranteed, most EOM Engineer graduates are able to choose from multiple Saint-Gobain sites for final placement offers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

The role duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the location. Some examples of specific responsibilities are:

 

  • Providing engineering support for site process improvements.
  • Supporting capital expenditure projects/ new equipment installations.
  • Supporting safety/sustainability initiatives at the plant.
  • Implementing new automation processes at the site.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction and quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in an engineering discipline (Automation)
  • Internship experience in manufacturing or professional setting is a plus

Contractor Key Accounts Manager

The Contractor Key Accounts Manager is responsible for creating strategic value and profitability in support of the CertainTeed business strategies. These activities will operate across the Roofing and Siding lines of business and functional departments with an entrepreneurial, customer-centric approach to strategic accounts throughout the United States.

This role will focus on Key Account Management and New Business Development, as well as working with Senior Leadership to create, continually revise, and execute strategies for medium and long-term business growth. The right candidate must be highly customer focused and adept at negotiation, organizational navigation, working in a matrix organization, and problem solving. They will work with numerous internal and external stakeholders including customers, channel partners, line-of-business leadership, and the EPS Regional Vice Presidents and Regional Managers to develop creative, out-of-the-box ways of addressing customer needs and locate untapped opportunities.

  • Cultivate strong, effective, and collaborative working relationships with Key Account Customers’ senior management to create direct lines of communication and influence decision making
  • Work in conjunction with CertainTeed leadership to establish strategies and tactics to profitably and sustainably grow our position within key growth segments while remaining cognizant of customer business objectives
  • Maintain competitive knowledge of market space to create and adjust sales strategies
  • Manage corporate relationships with key accounts at multiple levels to secure new business and grow existing business
  • Effectively promote existing offerings from a broad, existing product portfolio, while maintaining a critical eye toward increasing future differentiation and value-add.
  • Develop a positive working relationship with Key Account functional area leaders
  • Through strong relationships with key accounts and general market knowledge, propose and justify new products, services, and strategies that create differentiated customer value, business profit, and expanded market positioning.
  • Be the point person for assisting the business in understanding and navigating private equity backed consolidation of contractors.

NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

Set up, operate, and monitor production extrusion machinery. Start-up extrusion lines and makes all required adjustments to stabilize process in order to minimize scrap and maximize efficiency. Reprogrammable microprocessor controls are used and monitored to achieve desired product quality.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs continuous 1/2 hour quality checks by measuring, testing, and recording data to ensure 100% acceptable material.
  • Monitors in-coming materials, regrind, compound, and concentrate to ensure proper color, lot number, and process-ability.
  • Continually monitors all tooling and downstream equipment to achieve proper specifications.
  • Fills out and monitors all process control sheets and monitors packaging and labeling of finished goods.

Process Engineer, Coated Veil

The process engineer for the coated veil line will first participate in the engineering and installation of the coated veil production line; they will perform continuous improvement in the coated veil line.

You will collaborate closely with other teams to review and implement customer special requirements and assist in generating appropriate processes.

The Process Engineer, Coated Veil will Aid in the training of shop personnel where the operation of new equipment or new manufacturing procedures / processes is concerned. Additionally, initiate corrective-action projects and actively lead problem-solving teams driven by customer complaints, i.e., returned goods inspection and assessment.

You will provide technical support to the manufacturing teams, customer services departments, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for solving product problems, identifying the issues, recommending solutions, and implementing corrective action.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to end-users via telephone, email, or in-person, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, and other peripherals promptly and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, Linux, LAN/WAN, Microsoft 365, and other applications.
  • Configure laptops/desktops/mobile devices for new
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory, including creation, modification, and deletion, ensuring proper access rights and security protocols are followed.
  • Support Microsoft Dynamics NAV user administration, including user permissions, and access controls.
  • Administer TELUS Business Connect VoIP system, including user management, call routing configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco Meraki firewalls and switches, as well as Ubiquiti access points, to ensure network security and optimal performance.
  • Manage virtualization infrastructure using VMWare, including VM provisioning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for Android and iOS devices, ensuring device security and compliance.
  • Set up the boardrooms for video conferencing calls and troubleshoot any
  • Ensure security and systems upgrades are applied and kept up to date on laptops and desktops.
  • Maintain accurate records of support activities, including incidents, resolutions, and inventory, to facilitate knowledge sharing and trend analysis.
  • Create documentation/manuals for rolling out new technology.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on the use of IT systems, software applications, and security best practices.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and trends in IT support.

The profile: 

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in an IT-related program.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an IT help desk or support role.
  • Proficiency in server and network administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, TCP/IP protocols, WAN/LAN configuration, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience with Windows desktop
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service to end-users.
  • Familiarity with Android/iOS
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts to prevent cyber-
  • Knowledge of CrowdStrike and troubleshooting is an
  • ITIL, CCNA/CCNP certifications are an
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SQL Reporting Services, Jet Reports, and ZAP Reports.
  • Knowledge of VoIP phone systems (TELUS Business Connect).
