  • Develop consultative partnerships with hiring managers and HR Partners to set the direction and understands the hiring needs to execute sourcing and recruiting strategies for the company’s key functions including manufacturing, engineering, sales, marketing, R&D, leadership vacancies
  • Becoming knowledgeable of our business to ensure you can articulate our value proposition and serve as the ambassador of Saint-Gobain Canada via various channels
  • Perform full-life cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, shortlisting a qualified talent and diverse talent pool for selection and own the offer processes
  • Maximize sourcing channels, networks, diversity channels, social media, university relations, career fairs, etc.
  • Provide Best-in-Class candidate experience through communication, relationship building, and execution of the recruitment process.
  • Identifying gaps in the talent demand/supply and actively work with stakeholders to bridge the gaps.
  • Maximize utilization of market research techniques to enable more effective and efficient hiring.
  • Evaluating and sharing the results of your own productivity and effectiveness through regular distribution of defined performance metrics.
  • Follows up with new hires to collect feedback for onboarding process.
  • Participate and collaborate on projects for example: recruitment tools for hiring managers.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years' relevant experience or similar combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience in talent networking to convert prospects to applicants.
  • Recruiting experience using social media (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Ability to develop and communicate appropriate metrics, interpret trends, and adjust strategies as needed in response to changing market conditions.
  • Customer focused, adaptable, with superb follow up and organizational skills.
  • Innovative & Creative mindset for suggesting ideas that improve talent pool sources.
  • Results oriented & strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders (HR, Hiring Managers)

  • Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred

  • Prior experience sourcing/recruiting for positions in Manufacturing, Engineering.
  • A background in search and/or RPO combined with internal corporate recruiting.

Logistics Coordinator

What’s the job?

Responsible for Warehouse, Shipping Logistics, Inventory Control and Outbound/Inbound Traffic Flow functions such that the Plants’ Objectives for Shipping/Inventory Accuracy and Customer Fulfillment Rates are being achieved using the SAP Platform. Perform a variety of shipping and receiving tasks per Saint-Gobain’s Inventory Control Guidelines and Logistics Standard Operating Procedures.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Manages Facilities Outbound and Inbound Shipping Appointments using SAP and Manhattan.
  • Maintains Daily Transactions for Third Party Warehouses 
  • Monitors all Inbound and Outbound traffic throughout the facility to minimize wait times for loading and unloading.
  • Responsible to resolve all Department Sales Force cases timely and effectively.
  • Monitors Material Movement Transactions in SAP with a very high level of accuracy (Transfer Orders, Scrap and Bin to Bin Movements)
  • Participates in Cycle Counting tasks with the Shipping Supervisor including reconciliation to ensure accurate Inventory Levels are maintained in SAP in both the Inventory and Bin Level.
  • Help to Support and Maintain Warehouse stock location system and code dates to ensure proper inventory turns and adherence to FIFO principles.
  • Processes return shipments from customers
  • Collaborates with others in Logistics Department to continually improve Customer Service key measurements – On Time and In-Full (OTIF) Measurement reports.
  • Maintain Department Efficiency reports, organize and file shipping, receiving and production reports.
  • Follows the Logistics Standard Operating Procedures .
  • Monitor Customer Shipments using the outbound process flow in SAP that will ensure optimal location loading, efficient manpower usage and accurate inventory transactions.
  • Ensure Max Weight on Outbound Trucks is met.
  • Creates BOL’s documents and ensures proper filing of documents. 
  • Actively troubleshoots Order Issues with SAP and RF Monitor
  • Receives Incoming Finished Goods and Raw Materials. Verifies accuracy using SAP system.

  • A 2- 4 Year college degree preferred or equal experience

Position Summary

Comply with all Plant Safety Rules and Government Regulations and ensure a safe healthy work environment. Be a model for safety. Report all safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.

Will operate different types of packing equipment and know all associated safety procedures of each piece of equipment. Keep the working area in a clean, neat, tidy condition on a continual basis.

Follow all instructions for production goals and efficiency. Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the manager.

Essential functions:

Standing, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, reaching; and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Maintenance Planner Scheduler

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the insulation manufacturing plant’s reliability-based maintenance strategy which is founded on preventative and predictive maintenance. The position requires hands on maintenance experience and all tasks will be performed supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the organization. This position will collaborate with key stakeholders (including vendors, contractors, regional support, and departments at the plant level) to execute planned work with quality and timeliness. This position may occasionally work off-hours as requirements dictate to meet department objectives.

The core function of a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to effectively coordinate all work activities of the Maintenance Department and is the owner of the SAP-Work Management System (SAP-WMS). The Planner/Scheduler is also responsible for kitting jobs as required and ensuring all data entered into the system is accurate and complete.

The primary weekly responsibilities for this role involve:

  • Generate all Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Non-PM Work Orders (WO) and to ensure any spare parts necessary to execute these tasks are kept in inventory at the stock levels needed.
  • Administrator and trainer for overseeing work notifications via SAP Plant Maintenance System which include collaborating with team supervisors to assign work to either contractors or hourly technicians.
  • Organize and maintain accurate equipment files as well as ensure work orders have prioritized oversight and follow up as necessary. This will include job walk down are prioritized safely, incorporating the necessary work process considerations into each job plan.
  • Collaborates with specialists, engineers and technicians to maximize equipment reliability and availability through effective use of planned maintenance to quickly return equipment to design capability.
  • Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.
  • Utilizes maintenance planning tools to prioritize work within the facility by identifying and implementing maintenance and reliability activities through the identification of the proper resources, tools and materials.

 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

This team member will have a passion for accuracy and organization. They will be able to take their years of manufacturing know-how and successfully integrate their talents with the plant’s objectives. The team is looking for a team member who will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, science, technical discipline or similar is preferred; or five (5) years of equivalent training and of applied professional experience working in maintenance in an industrial / manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Planner in a manufacturing setting.
  • Very organized; self-directed and takes initiative to address problems. They are a champion for workplace safety and efficiency.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work projects consecutively, with an ability to see projects to timely completion.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills (Professional and Interpersonal Skills) preferred.
  • Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Excel, and Word are required.
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred. Willingness to teach others and take ownership of the SAP system.
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment – this is a union plant.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to find effective solutions; motivate positive change and sustainability
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools, or World Class Manufacturing, for business process improvement is preferred.

  • Operate Process Injection molding machines to produce specified product according to customer specifications and ensuring Quality of the parts.
  • Inspect Parts for defects and make necessary corrections to troubleshoot them out of the process. Escalate when help is needed
  • Measure Parts according to print guidelines using calipers, rulers, and other measuring devices.
  • Meet Productivity standards on a consistent basis. Escalate issues to management that will affect productivity.
  • Purge machines during the changeover process to ensure the machine is ready for the next cycle.
