We are looking for an experienced Architectural Estimator to work within the CertainTeed Architectural Products portfolio.

What’s the Job

We work closely with a team of experienced outside sales professionals, GC’s and, distributors and our role is to provide estimating support to that team by developing project quotations, and onboarding projects successfully won.

As a professional estimator you will use product knowledge, skill, intuition, and teamwork to ensure product solutions are well defined, cost assumptions are accurate, and service offerings are sold with strong margins, a well-organized process, and a positive customer experience at all levels. On the day to day this looks like:

  • Review architectural drawings/RCP’s and identify material scope across all product lines.
  • Prepare quantity take-off and apply appropriate pricing strategy.
  • Determine and document criteria relating to acoustical performance, fire rating, LEED, Well, FSC, VOC, EPD’s and any other project specific testing requirements.
  • Accurately assess all factors of project scope which may affect cost, including probable scope which may have been left out or is unspecified.
  • Where required, value engineer to ensure maximum chance of success.
  • Collect and analyze data in to improve estimate quality as applies to the time, materials and labor required to manufacture a product or provide a service.
  • Coordinate quotation strategy with Estimating Manager as needed.
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates and submit quote/BID documents to all potential bidders for future follow up.
  • Work with client/Manager to coordinate quotation, negation, and closeout strategy.
  • Prepare submittals, sample and testing requirements consistently clarifying delivery schedule issues or timeline issues to project/client team.

What do you bring?

Required

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Architecture, Construction Technology or equivalent technical field required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in an estimating role in the Architectural, Woodworking, Millwork, Construction or Manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive experience estimating in a custom product environment, including custom wood products.
  • Experience working with Salespeople, GCs and distributors within the North American construction market.
  • Understanding of commercial construction and bidding process.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings.
  • Ability to interpret/anticipate project compliance criteria such as LEED, FSC, VOC, EPD, CSA and ASTM
  • Strong independent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers according to tight deadlines and in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, BlueBeam or On-Screen Take-Off Software.

Résumé du poste

Sous la direction du Département de la logistique, la personne sera principalement responsable d’effectuer des livraisons de manière sécuritaire chez nos clients, de façon amicale et courtoise au Québec, en Ontario et dans les Maritimes. Ce poste exige des normes élevées de service à la clientèle et d’efficacité. La flexibilité d’horaire est essentielle et des voyages avec nuitées sont requis selon les besoins de routage.

 

Tâches et responsabilités

  • Opérer l’équipement de façon sécuritaire en tout temps;
  • Communiquer de manière courtoise et professionnelle avec les clients et le personnel sur les chantiers;
  • Décharger la marchandise sur les chantiers à l’aide d’un chariot élévateur monté sur camion (Moffet);
  • Attacher les chargements selon les exigences et vérifier la sécurité du chargement tout au long de la journée;
  • Ramasser les produits chez les fournisseurs;
  • Ramasser des bobines dans les aciéries ou lieux d’entreposage externes;
  • Transférer des produits entre les sites d’Agway Metal;
  • Maintenir des journaux électroniques et papier;
  • Effectuer les inspections quotidiennes avant utilisation sur tout l’équipement;
  • Porter l’uniforme de l’entreprise et représenter celle-ci de manière positive;
  • Effectuer des voyages avec nuitées au besoin;

CET EMPLOI EST-IL POUR VOUS?

  • Déplacements réguliers avec nuitées à travers l’Ontario, le Québec et les Maritimes;
  • La majorité des trajets s’effectuent du lundi au vendredi, mais certains itinéraires dans l’Est du pays peuvent nécessiter des horaires alternatifs.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced production operator to join our team within the Traveler's Rest manufacturing facility. In a fast paced, service-oriented manufacturing environment, the candidate will work within a framework of specific assignment to meet production goals and quality standards.
 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITY:  
· Review work order instructions and blueprint specifications.
· Determine appropriate setup based on order requirements and schedule.
· Responsible for product flow through the tacking and plating area to meet required deadlines.
· Perform all routing steps for tacking, including:
· Picking orders and preparing carts.
· Sandblasting, cleaning, degreasing, and rinsing wheels.
· Handling acid and nickel strike tanks, setting timers, and monitoring process.
· Loading wheels into tacking tanks, connecting anodes, and ensuring full diamond grit coverage.
· Operating timers, spinning wheels, and applying additional diamond grit as needed.
· Rinsing, flipping, and reloading wheels per process requirements.
· Ensuring proper handling to prevent diamond loss and maintain quality.
· Setting up wheels for EN tank and completing final rinses.
· Maintain accurate records and logs of processes, materials, and results.
· Follow company policies as outlined in Employee Handbook, Health & Safety Manual.      
· Adhere to Quality Policy and Standard Operating Procedures.
· Other assigned duties and cross-training as determined by business conditions and supervision.

Impact: In this role you will be a valuable part of our production team, ensuring our production quotas are met in a timely fashion while observing the highest standards of safety and quality.  

Pay: $19.20 per hour to start; $20.05 after successful completion of 90 days

The Role: The Extruded Tape Packer is responsible for packaging and shipping of Extruded tapes.  The employee is responsible for operating a variety of equipment in order to meet customer specifications and orders.  This position requires a self-motivated individual with good computer skills.  Attention to detail is a must!

We are seeking candidates with the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • You will need to be reliable and punctual, able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive, and lift up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math and use basic hand held measuring tools.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • While prior manufacturing experience is preferred, we will provide on-the-job training for qualified applicants.

The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate, Shift Differential and projected Bonus), annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks) for this position, is $44,116.80.

Additional Pay Incentives for this Role Include:

The Planner Coordinator will be the key liaison working with cross-functional teams to make sure we are meeting the production plan in the most efficient and productive way possible. Be the key liaison between CSRs, planners and production supervisors to make sure we are meeting the plan and why we eventually miss plan 
Review job orders and aligned with Planner/Scheduler establish priorities and schedules; 
Monitor production schedules to ensure that orders are filled on time and in full 
Track deliveries and shipments to the facility to make sure they are proceeding normally; 
Track and report production metrics and performance 
Assist in processing customer orders and shipments according to the established schedule; 
Coordinate with Production Supervisor in resolving production planning and control issues; 
Coordinate with Quality to understand Quality issues that is impacting the plan 
Coordinate with Supply Chain to develop inventory control techniques to avoid shortages and excesses; 
Assist in production activity control to meet business and financial objectives; 
Review production/shipping plans to identify and report potential risks 
Work with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time and within customer specifications; 
Plan and monitor material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations; 
Develop dynamic planning of activities across multi-functional teams and work stations to ensure optimal sequence of work; 
Communicate production updates to Planners and CSRs in a timely manner; 
Monitor execution of job orders and adjust schedules for timely delivery.

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/a quarterly bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of the hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. Set up molds and maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance

JOB PURPOSE: This employee must demonstrate core skills, which include understanding company safety policies, adherence to the SGC Principles of Conduct and Action guidelines. Also 5-S requirements, sustaining the process and general housekeeping guidelines are required. Employee must follow verbal and written instructions and have knowledge of product line and manufacturing standards. The normal operating duties are listed below are not intended to be inclusive.

Shift: 3rd, 10pm-6am

Pay: $36.31

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Inspect machines for wear and defects in operation, replaces defective parts, makes mechanical/electrical adjustments and repairs to prevent downtime and insure efficient operation.
• Troubleshoots and performs emergency repairs.
• Update, modify, and/or change equipment as assigned by upper management.
• Maintain detailed Preventative Maintenance records.
• Follow proper procedure for replacement parts as removed from inventory.
• General repair around the plant as needed and/or assigned by Supervisor/Manager on duty.
• Explain to workers the proper use and operation of maintenance equipment.
• Work from blueprints and schematics. Use test equipment, precision measuring equipment, equipment manuals, service records and preventative maintenance lists.
• Work with service technicians to install and maintain automated equipment.
• Complete work orders and enter your labor time in a timely manner as part of administrative duties.
• Use proper Lock Out Tag Out and Try Out to ensure zero energy state on all equipment.
• Perform process equipment PMs (Preventive Maintenance).
• Cut and weld using oxygen and acetylene, experience with stick and MIG welding machines for fabrication. TIG welding experience is a plus.
• Train new and existing employees on process of equipment pertaining to Maintenance.
• Learn the operational functions of equipment, to effectively troubleshoot issues and eliminate deficiencies.
• Perform cutting and welding activities to fabricate and assemble.
• Maintain 5S and cleanliness of work area and equipment.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of 2 years of industrial mechanic experience.
• Understand the Arc Flash Safety and the theory associated with it.
• Mechanical repair & trouble shoot plus electrical repair helper.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret most documents relating to how the process operate.
• Utilize math in fraction, decimals and know the metric measuring system.
• Basic tool knowledge and usage based on the job classification/necessity.
• Understand basic computer skills and able to use a CMMS system.
Skills & Equipment Required:
• Active Powered Industrial Trucks Certification.
• Heavy Equipment (Including but not limited to: Forklift (Electric and Propane), scissor lift and man lift.)
• Proficiently operate (including but not limited to): powered hand tools, precision tools, power tools, machine tools, and electronic/electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Service manuals, Checklists, Tablets and computers, CMMS and other updated systems as implemented.
•  MIG Welding experience (required)
•  TIG Welding experience (preferred) 

Work will be Performed Under the Direction of:
Maintenance Supervisor/Maintenance Manager/Other members of management

Certain states require pay information to be provided in job postings. The base pay for this position is $35.26 per hour plus a shift differential of $0.65 for swing shift and $0.85 for night shift. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures.
