Senior Risk Analyst

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Senior Risk Analyst will provide risk management services and analytical support to the Risk Management Department’s team members and businesses within the North American Region. In addition, the position will support the department by providing operational support. In this highly collaborative position, the Senior Risk Analyst will be interface with multiple departments including but not limited to Finance department, the Law department, Environmental Health & Safety & Sustainability, Purchasing, Human Resources, Security, and more.

The incumbent in this role will use their skills to provide in-depth analysis along with actionable data to assist the department in the identification of existing or emerging trends to help lower Saint-Gobain’s total cost of risk. This person’s work will also be vital in the preparation of budget and allocation of risk related costs to help keep our business units on track with their own financial goals and budgets throughout the year.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Gather, organize and analyze required underwriting data and prepare annual renewal submissions and audits for all lines of insurance.
  • Review and analyze claims data for potential trends as well as identifying areas where additional resources may be needed to assist the various business units.
  • Complete management of assigned insurance programs for North America businesses in accordance with the Group’s risk management doctrine and philosophy including the renewal process and the handling of any claims within those assigned programs.
  • Manage all aspects of the surety bond program as well as assigned insurance programs for North America including the renewal process and handling of any claims with minimal oversight.
  • Ensure compliance for requested certificates of insurance and the issuing of the same.
  • Provide support with acquisition and divestiture activities.
  • Oversee third-party vendors’ performance related to assigned responsibilities.

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree
  • Hybrid work environment with 2 days in office required
  • Insurance designations such as SCLA, CPCU, ARM a plus but not required
  • 3-5 years of progressive responsibility with an insurance company, insurance broker, or risk management department.
  • Fluent with the use of RMIS systems (claims systems), excel, and adobe
  • Comfortable with reading insurance policy language and the application of coverage
  • Travel is not expected with this role, but depending on circumstances could present in the form of an opportunity for development and learning.
  • Comfortable with creating spreadsheets and analyzing data for trends and actionable items to help lower our total risk as a company.

The position will provide support to Engineering programs at the Granville location, within the defined World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework, in a manner consistent with the Principles of Conduct and Action of Saint-Gobain.

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of equipment used within the Granville site for manufacturing its lines of high value PVC & Urethane foams. The position ensures rapid pace of implementation without compromising the quality of standards.

The role leads the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment for web processing using wet coating and lamination, web handling equipment and practices, extrusions and mixing technology. This support will include compliance with all ISO standards (9001, 14001, 18001 and pending IATF 16949) within the Granville Site.

Responsibility for operational excellence via efficient plant design and function. Ensures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production utilizing lean and Six Sigma tools. Supports various engineering projects and resolves processing issues.

Directs activities of the site’s process engineering professionals.

Will rely on experience and judgment to plan and support goals utilizing creativity as well as excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions:

Leadership of the Process Engineering Team. Personnel coaching and creation of working processes to maximize the success of the team.

Manages multiple projects aimed at process improvement, including capital investments, process optimizations, new product introduction, corrective actions, safety improvements, and waste reduction associated with production activities. Responsible for leading and developing project team members.

Ability to effectively define problems through data analysis, propose workable solutions to minimize defects and waste. The ability to define and work on data driven six sigma type projects. Determine statistical process capabilities and implement process control systems designed to improve consistency, product yield, quality, and throughput rates.

Must be able to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased efficiency, seek and implement innovative methods to optimize process throughput and reduce costs.  Chart progress of opportunities within the methodology of the World Class Manufacturing plan, recommending countermeasures to overcome adverse variances. Provide follow up to such recommendations.

Working with R&D and manufacturing teams, management of new product industrialization and control procedures, as well as ensuring work is completed in the required timeframe and budget requirements.

Compiles technical data and other key process information to determine equipment/process specifications and establish baselines. Develop and align BOMs & Routings to be accurate and in a consistent format.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

REQUIRED:

  • BS degree in Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial).
  • 4+ years in management/supervisory role.
  • 8+ years in wet processing/web coating industry.
  • Project Management
  • Communication and Team Building skills. 

PREFERRED:

  • MS degree in related field (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial).
  • Implementation of SPC systems.
  • Experience in ISO Environment.
  • Knowledge of TQM/Lean/Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement Methodology.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,200 to $178,500. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Plant Manager

The incumbent is responsible for leading all aspects of site management and continuous improvement for the manufacturing location. The Maintenance Supervisor has overall responsibility for the rationalization, planning and scheduling of maintenance activities by providing direction & oversight of the autonomous/preventive/predictive maintenance systems to drive improved sustainable plant reliability in a manner consistent with Corhart’s Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives (VMVO). This position will drive Reliability Pillar activities and initiatives designed to create knowledge, leadership and expansion of WCM Reliability Methodology.


The role will focus on establishing measurements and maintenance KPIs that prioritize PM losses within manufacturing increasing machine/equipment throughput. The Maintenance Supervisor will coach maintenance associates on the proper method and use of tools to eliminate waste and losses, pilot/model selection, audit preparation, PDCA journal activities, and provide direction for route map expansion, pillar score and demonstrate verifiable results.


This role focuses on overall Maintenance Management System and is responsible for leading the implementation of the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Reliability Pillar Methodology and Autonomous Foundational Aspect across the facility. This position will focus on both reactive and proactive maintenance support for the Integrated Process Teams to improve equipment availability, capability, efficiency and asset utilization and is responsible for IPT/IST budgeting, spare part rationalization, and professional and technical development of his/her assigned salaried and hourly reports. The Maintenance Supervisor will also support the plant’s strategic initiatives including capital and non-capital equipment projects and provide leadership in the implementation and support of plant equipment/machine modifications.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

  • Accountable for safe maintenance activities. Will promote, teach and improve safety systems and procedures to employees and contractors such as LOTO, permits to work, safety audits etc.
  • Progressively improves the Professional Maintenance status of all equipment on a prioritized basis using WCM techniques and practices
  • Provides technical guidance and coaching on technical problem solving through the use of WCM tools to ensure root cause of issues are identified, eliminated and sustained to improve equipment reliability and capability
  • Oversees timely completion of breakdown root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation (EWO).
  • Works to ensure correct prioritization, timely completion of all work orders, and utilization of maintenance resources on a weekly or day to day basis
  • Works with the Storeroom Maintenance Technician to ensure spares inventory is optimized and coherent with the Professional Maintenance equipment requirements.
  • Manages the plant Maintenance Management System by ensuring it is accurate and updated daily. Uses data from the system to support continuous improvement of Reliability
  • Work with IPT Equipment Reliability Engineers to develop PM’s that drive improved reliability and AM’s that leverage the intimate knowledge of our equipment/machine operators
  • Directs and oversees AM deployment and maturity with focus on operator training & compliance to ensure equipment basic conditions are maintained
  • Implements management systems to provide effective control and maintenance of all plant equipment & services
  • Evaluate and identify the need for staff developments and provide training to cater for a better team and organization structure. Ensure all subordinates are fully briefed, counseled, trained and developed to meet IPT and IST objectives
  • Manages the Maintenance Apprenticeship program

WCM

  • Responsible for leading the implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Reliability Pillar
  • Leader of the WCM Autonomous Maintenance Foundational Aspect through training of operators and ensuring that equipment basic conditions are maintained
  • Drive 5S maturity in maintenance shop
  • Participates in new process/ project Early Equipment Management

Environmental, Health & Safety

  • Behavioral role model for all EHS standards; 5S & workplace organization practices; plant rules and safety regulations; and corporate Values and Attitudes.
  • Promotes, develops and mentors behavioral EHS initiatives to drive an autonomous EHS culture and objectively demonstrates commitment through SMAT / EMAT assessments.
  • Includes equipment/machine hazards and unsafe conditions as part of Preventive Maintenance to eliminate EHS risks (machine guarding, LOTO, confined spaces, Noise...)
  • Performs daily audits to check safety equipment as part of risk management (pressure vessels, safety valves, cranes, forklifts. welding, electrical, work permits, etc.)
  • Assesses machine/equipment EHS risks and improvement opportunities before making purchase request

What is the job?

 

PAY RANGE: $22.03 - $29.80

 

The job objectives are to safely transport finished product and non-conforming product to multiple pre-determined locations in the plant. The primary way of transporting this material is using a sit-down forklift truck. The material is removed from equipment on a continuous production line after proper labelling and sorting has taken place. Tasks such as quality inspection of material and equipment inspection is to be completed frequently to ensure that the production line continues flowing during the process. Team communication along with safe work practices are essential and required to maintain steady process from start to finish.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Operate a sit-down forklift moving wallboard into the select locations, moving pallets of raw materials, and equipment parts.
