The Internal Sales Engineer is a highly motivated and technically proficient, key liaison between our Sales teams, Customers, Manufacturing and Engineering departments. You will support the sales process by providing technical product knowledge, open order and account support, supporting preparing quotes as needed, ensuring customer requirements are fully understood and met, and developing new processes to continuously improve our service to the customers. Working as a liaison for product management, manufacturing and sales to ensure customer satisfaction.

This position requires customer obsession and be a passionate communicative customer advocate and who can use technology and their technical background to effectively convey information and instructions clearly to a customer.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical sales support to multiple industries, including Aerospace, Automotive, Power Generation, industrial, Nuclear, Space & Semi-conductor. Interpreting designs and proposing technical solutions in partnership with Engineering and Sales to customers by working with them to understand their needs up front. Needs to be able to express to customers in clear manner (verbally and in writing) our abilities to provide the best solution through knowledge of our core competencies.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of our products and services as well as market trends in order to understand the customer’s needs
  • Resolve all level customer complaints concerning billing, products or services rendered, by providing timely solutions to the customer, understanding when high level customers need further escalation to upper management.
  • Developing and sending quotes to customers by using digital tools as Sales Force. Provide pricing and lead time updates as needed.
  • Lead problem resolution efforts with Quality Assurance and other key departments to identify root cause and corrective action needed for future improvement to customer service
  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to customers regarding the service we provide and finding the best solution for the customer
  • Lead the onboarding of all new higher level customers through credit and other internal systems to ensure the order fulfillment process sets the right first impression for new customers
  • Clearly, consistently, and effectively communicate with customers by phone, email and/or in person to receive orders, cancellations, and changes in product(s) or to clarify needs and requirements

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline is required.
  • 2 years direct customer contact and communication is required.
  • 2 years experience in direct field sales of engineered products to OEM accounts and customer service is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, excel, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interface and influence across functions and ability to provide solutions with agility
  • Aptitude for working autonomously. Assertiveness and the ability to be a self-starter are required for this position
  • Identify needs, propose, and co develop new business processes leveraging technology to improve customer experience
  • Project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software

The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $76,300.00 to $117,700.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Program Summary:

Our 18-month program provides participants a full-time sales development role, where participants will increase their sales skills and their exposure to CertainTeed. Participants are provided with time in the field, hands on learning, and full access to Exterior Product Sales (EPS) leaders for networking opportunities designed to accelerate career development. These trainings and travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. EOS Associate Territory Manager will support CertainTeed businesses in building strong relationships and portfolios of loyal customers through the development of new and existing customers. They will proactively promote CertainTeed products, systems, and programs. They will gain a knowledge base of all CertainTeed products, systems, programs, and promotions used to sell and promote the brand to potential customers throughout the U.S. Representatives will also be expected to collaborate with the managers and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are constantly being met.

Development Program Completion

Upon the successful completion of the program, the EOS Associate Territory Manager will work with HR, the Sales Training Manager, and Sales Leadership to explore available opportunities within one of our 12 sales regions in the U.S. for a Territory Manager role, or other roles within Saint-Gobain. Those not able to find another role at the end of a successful completion of the program may qualify for a completion bonus if eligibility requirements are met.

The ADFORS division of Saint-Gobain Research North America is seeking a Senior Research Engineer I to join their collaborative team.

The Senior Researcher will lead new product projects for the Business Unit (BU) with a focus on chemical formulation and textiles technology, using Stage Gate methodology.   • Set up and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes per production schedules and work orders with little or no supervision.

  • Load and adjust tools, set tool offsets, and verify tool paths using simulation or dry runs.
  • Install and align fixtures, vices, and stock materials accurately.

  • Collaborate with CNC programmers and operators to improve setup times and part quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of setups, tooling requirements, and part specifications.

  • Use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required
  • Understanding of G -code and ability to modify simple program operations such as speeds, feeds, taper compensations

The Lead Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of polyimide and other engineering plastic components through meticulous measurement, recording, and reporting of quality characteristics. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and support to Quality Technicians, Inspectors, Screeners, and Shipping/Receiving personnel as needed.
  • Serve as a reference point for quality-related inquiries and recommendations.

This position is responsible for the management of all Purchasing activities and projects under their scope as well as the oversight for the Shakopee, MN (based), Portland, OR(remote roofing facility)  and Denver, CO (remote warehouse) facilities.  This position will perform all purchasing activity (including but not limited to: negotiation, management of spend, bid management, and execution of contracts for both goods and services).  This role will focus on cost savings, strategic purchasing improvement, implementation and adherence to global compliance, and utilization of internal digital tools while providing timely service to internal customers.

  • Act as both a tactical and strategic Purchaser for the site and business unit while prioritizing cost savings initiatives.
  • Engage the plant’s technical teams early in the buying process to ensure compliance of purchasing methodology and proper management through the bidding platform.
  • Foster site compliance regarding the North American Purchasing Policy [NAPP], Purchasing’s Internal Controls Reference Framework [ICRF], Gift Policy, and Credit Card [One-Card] Policy.
  • Ability to manage projects for sites which they oversee, evaluate spend, to develop site portfolios for site agreements and cross-site/business synergies to leverage contract negotiation.
  • Drive compliance of the company’s digital tools to ensure everything is bid out according to policy, vendors are validated, and savings/avoidance is properly tracked/reported.
  • Utilize the law department library of contracts for all capital, equipment, and service transactions.
  • Process/monitor purchase orders and act as full-scope vendor liaison (i.e. bid walks, quotation, negotiation, purchases, contracts, risk qualification, SGCT Drug & Alcohol Policy, etc).
  • Execute and review monthly reporting to ensure proper site operations, commitments are reconciled, and on-time payments are achieved.
  • Hold regular training sessions and monthly Purchasing meetings with the plant staff regarding Purchasing procedures.
  • Documentation Process Coordinator for files and records (i.e. quotations, purchase orders, reports, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and audit guidelines.
  • Required to sign Purchasing Charter, participate in online and in-person training sessions, weekly/monthly conference calls and meetings, and engage in plant level meetings as defined in the operations cadence.
  • Travel to the remote sites must be visiting monthly/yearly based upon need, as well as travel for site audits, vendor tours, emergencies, and events (Buy-Techs, events, staff meetings).
