PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Faire la réception, l’inspection et la vérification des produits et les réceptionner dans le système d’inventaire;
  • Effectuer les validations et contrôler les inventaires pour garder un registre de stock à jour dans SAP
  • Préparer les commandes et faire la préparation de kits (kitting) pour les sorties de pièces
  • Contacter les personnes responsables lors de la réception de la marchandise;
  • Assurer la réception des retours de pièces au magasin;
  • Assurer la traçabilité des produits et la gestion des retours.
  • Collaborer avec les transporteurs pour planifier et coordonner les livraisons et expéditions
  • Effectuer le comptage cyclique et le réaménagement des pièces;
  • Utiliser le logiciel SAP différentes tâches dont : la gestion de la base de données, la gestion des rapports et des stock, l’analyse, l’optimisation des inventaires et la création de nouvelles pièces
  • Veiller à ce que l'entrepôt soit propre, organisé et conforme aux normes de santé et sécurité de l’entreprise.
  • Assurer une stabilité lors de la période de vacances (remplacement de vacances au besoin);
  • Nettoyer les tablettes et vérifier les codes de pièces;
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les autres départements et communiquer efficacement pour une résolution rapide des problèmes
  • Toutes autres tâches connexes.

Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

The CertainTeed facility in L’Anse Michigan manufactures ceiling tiles. We work hard together to create an environment that teaches our employees manufacturing skills.  We are looking for a dedicated maintenance mechanic to increase our team’s efficiencies by supporting maintaining our facilities and equipment.

Schedule: Training conducted on day shift (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) with rotating shifts after training is completed. Individuals must be flexible on shift hours assigned and overtime requirements. After training, the hours will be rotating (day/night) working 12's.

Compensation: Starting wage $29.98-$31.80 depending on experience.

  • Follow all safety rules and rules as established in the employee handbook
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Operate various hand tools including the use of hand grinders, drills, pneumatic air guns, etc.
  • Must have the ability to read machine diagrams and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • May perform basic/precision maintenance duties to include: reducer/coupling alignment, motor alignment, mounting taper bore bearings with taper sleeve adaptors, mount pillow block, and flange bearing to specifications.
  • Has the ability to dismantle, repair, and reassemble conveying systems (live roller, belt, and screw).
  • Has the ability to operate metal saws; is proficient in drilling/tapping.
  • Is proficient in welding, oxy/acetylene cutting, and plasma cutting
  • Completes maintenance work orders as needed
  • Maintains good housekeeping as established by Operator Duty Sheets and identifies gaps and areas for improvement
  • Operates forklift as needed
  • Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition

Position Summary

The Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright will carry out repair and preventive maintenance activities. This includes promptly diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing parts for flat roll steel slitting lines, packaging equipment, banding tools and hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of Bailey's machinery, equipment, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems while meeting scheduling priorities, safety, quality productivity and reliability requirements
  • Supervise, co-ordinate and daily schedule the activities of maintenance workers to ensure orders can be completed meeting customers' & inter departmental requirements
  • Develop, implement & maintain schedules & procedures for preventive maintenance programs in coordination with necessary departments and maintain logs/ documents
  • Advise daily the required repair time to scheduling, and production department if it takes more than 24 hours; Record equipment downtime and repair done in a systematic way
  • Assist in the sourcing, negotiation and administration of contracts for the provision of supplies, parts and services for maintenance including annual inspection of material handling equipment
  • Plan, organize, transfer, and install machineries and equipment as per manufacturer's instructions without compromising safety
  • Report daily and update on equipment requiring preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts. Develop required reporting forms, and documentation
    Help plan, monitor, and manage maintenance budget
  • Identify and implement work measures to continually improve maintenance work methods, systems, productivity, safety, and quality of service
  • Collaborate with and support the national technical team in various branches as required
  • Provide any other assistance as requested by the management

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Red Seal Millwright Certified OR 4th Year Millwright Apprentice waiting for Red Seal Certification
  • 5-7 years of experience in a steel processing or steel-making plant environment (preferred).
  • Hydraulic systems and heavy equipment experience is essential.
  • General understanding of Electronic/Instrumentation maintenance experience;
  • Welding skills operating MIG and TIG welders (asset)
  • Experience in using propane forklift & overhead crane;
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety Act and regulations & Bailey products.
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of MS Outlook and Excel are essential.

The Training Coordinator role is responsible for planning, organizing and conducting a wide range of employee training and developmental activities.   • Assists with preparing, researching, planning, organizing, and conducting people development programs, and training.
  • Maintaining all employee-training files in an accurate and organized manner.
  • Identify other tools to help ensure the training materials created are utilized in a way that adds value to the associates and is actively used.
  • Participate in the development, understanding and review of all position JSA’s and conducts Job Safety Analysis for all production, warehouse, quality and maintenance position functions and tasks.
  • Track and maintain individual training/testing spreadsheet results for employee training requirements.
  • Maintain daily, monthly and yearly training spreadsheets and other tracking activities.
  • Modify and or establish new methods and procedures in producing training manuals.
  • Model Area Champion to set-up and drive success of the model areas.
  • Produces training manuals using various graphics, test and photos to enhance the readability of manuals and will initiate training schedules.
  • Manages and owns training databases including SmarterU, Boost, and training files.
  • Plan and track employee training and qualifications utilizing a matrix system.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to define and develop training for the hourly workforce.
  • Facilitate new hire onboarding for all departments.
  • Follow, implement, and enforce appropriate safety precautions throughout the plant.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Process and Quality Specialist is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and enforcing the Quality Management System and continuous improvement programs in all areas of the organization. The role includes auditing operational processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and material quality requirements.   • Lead and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team to problem solve and determine root causes.
  • Drive effective 8D problem resolution processes by supporting, containing, and implementing corrective actions that are permanent and sustainable in nature.

  • Develop, lead, support CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) initiatives focused on enhancing the quality system, products, and services.
  • Compile and graph Key Operating Indices related to quality and customer satisfaction; facilitate action plans to drive measurable improvement.
  • Develop PFMEA’s, control plans, inspection instructions, and supporting documentation.
  • Train associates on new and updated processes, work instructions, and SOPs with appropriate sign-offs records.
  • Create NCRs for internal and external nonconformances.
  • Tag, hold and release materials based on quality assessments.
  • Supply Sales and Customers with Mill test Reports as requested.
  • Inspect coils in house and during processing to identify issues and reallocate material effectively.
  • Conduct sample testing to validate product quality.
  • Participate in 5Y, Gemba, 5(6)S initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Oversee measurement systems and calibrations.
  • Analyze current manufacturing & supply chain processes and identify areas for improvement in terms of efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Lead Kaizen events and other improvement workshops to engage teams in identifying and solving process-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to identify bottlenecks, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
  • Define and lead team meetings required to track project deliverables with team members.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), training documentation, workflows, and process maps.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of implemented improvements and make adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting to track process performance and improvement outcomes.
  • Implement and coordinate process improvement, CapEx/OpEx projects. Not limited to the creation of SOW’s, supplier/vendor management, organizing procurement while administering the PDCA (open issues) tracker...

Main requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' process improvement experience in a slit steel or an industrial manufacturing environment (e.g., Aerospace, Automotive or Systems Engineering).
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and PMP is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and cross-functional departments.
  • Experience in interfacing with customers, internal teams, and suppliers.
  • Process and data-driven technical background.
  • Driving accountability and execution.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).

The Mill/Braid Operator is responsible for safely operating both the mill and braiding machines. The Mill/Braid Operator will use the mill machine to compound silicone raw silicone to provide to the Extrusion Operators. The Operator must mill batches, up to 40 lbs., using the two-roll mill, to mix material per the routing notes, SOPs, MOPs, or batch records. Operator must also visually inspect product to ensure parts are clean and free of any dirt, hair, or particulate before supplying to the Extrusion department.

The Mill/Braid Operator will also be responsible for braiding reinforced silicone tubing using the braiding machine. This Operator must also record in-process inspections and verifications using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Proficient at the operation, OJT & trouble-shooting processes/equipment in the mill/braid department. Operator is expected to safely produce the highest quality products in the silicone industry, following the standards of operation as set forth by SGPPL, Beaverton.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • Education:
    • Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required

 

  • Experience:
    • Machine Operating Experience is preferred
    • Proficient with measurement equipment is required
    • Good eye/hand coordination is required
    • Being mechanically inclined is required
    • Having attention to detail is required
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; required.
