We are seeking several CNC Machine Operators to join our 2nd and 3rd Shift operations team.

CNC Machine Operators are responsible for operating and troubleshooting CNC machines according to scheduled orders to produce quality machine parts for the Aerospace, Aviation and Automotive industries. Machines include CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and manual tools.

The ideal candidate for this position can demonstrate the ability to:

• Use measuring equipment effectively such as micrometers and calipers

• Work from written procedures and work routers

• Dismantle jigs, tools, and special fixtures

• Make tooling as necessary

• Maintain drawing specifications by monitoring dimensional and visual characteristics to detect non-conformances

• Handle raw material and hazardous waste safely and in an environmentally responsible manner

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment

Shift Times:

2nd Shift: 2:30pm-11pm

3rd Shift: 10:30pm-7am

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (will consider candidates with considerable experience in lieu of education requirement)

• Experience in CNC Machining for Mills, Lathes or Grinding, required

• Experience with CNC Certification and Training

In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 10% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs./week * 52wks)) for this position, is $45,700 to $54,900. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

 

Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:

• Shift Differentials (2nd Shift Differential: $1.50/hr.)

• Shift Differentials (3rd Shift Differential: $2.50/hr.)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diagnostiquer, réparer et effectuer la maintenance préventive des équipements de production et systèmes mécaniques.
  • Effectuer des tournées d’inspections hebdomadaires de son secteur afin de déceler les anomalies.
  • Établir des relations avec les opérateurs du secteur afin d’avoir le pouls sur les équipements et sur leur l’état de fonctionnement.
  • Établir les priorités d’intervention sur les équipements lors d’arrêt hebdomadaire en concert avec l’ingénieur de secteur, l’ingénieur de procédé de même que les opérateurs du secteur.
  • Assurer la fiabilité et la disponibilité des équipements pour la production.
  • Être constamment à l’affut de nouvelles méthodes afin d’améliorer le rendement et la production de l’usine.
  • Participer de façon active avec l’aide des différents intervenants afin de trouver les causes sources lors de bris d’équipement dans votre secteur en utilisant les outils et méthodes mises à votre disposition.
  • Participer aux projets PM des équipements de votre secteur ainsi qu'aux projets d'amélioration continue (WCM - Fabrication de classe mondiale).
  • Effectuer les réparations selon la qualité et les standards désirés, adapter les outils à la réparation.
  • Adhérer différents programmes en matière de SST et d’amélioration continue.

  • Diplôme d’études professionnelles en mécanique industrielle ou électromécanique (DEP).
  • Minimum de 3 à 5 années d’expérience en maintenance industrielle.
  • Certificat restreint en connexion d'appareillage (RCA) est un atout.

Maintenance Electrical Supervisor

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing the operations of Athens Maintenance Electrical Technicians and Apprentices.   • Actively participate in plant safety programs and maintain a knowledge and understanding OSHA requirements, and other safety standards.
  • Will actively engage and support electrical technicians to build: solid teamwork ethics, improve morale, knowledge and skills of all assigned technicians.
  • Direct and support the Maintenance Electrical Technicians and all other Maintenance employees when their direct supervisor or management resources are not present.
  • Oversees the performance of all tasks necessary to troubleshoot, test, calibrate, repair, overhaul, maintain, construct, modify or install electrical equipment components buildings and/or land improvements, including; laying out, setting up or assembling work for Direct Reports.
  • Support team and oversee inspections related to equipment damage or defect, diagnosing the corrective action necessary to rectify the malfunction, failure or damage (troubleshooting).
  • Observes the operation of maintenance or production equipment in the course of performing the aforementioned tasks to obtain maximum manufacturing efficiency with minimum downtime for maintenance or repair.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Strong commitment to safety of others and compliance to organizational safety initiatives and policies.
  • Qualified electrician with five years’ or more experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment (continuous manufacturing preferred)
  • Associates Degree or 7 years’ of equivalent experience in the electrical or related field is required.

  • Computer systems proficiency in Microsoft applications (Office, Excel, Word, etc).

Industrial Electrician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

This position is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient electrical maintenance of production equipment to meet operating standards and manufacturing needs. The position consists of electrical maintenance of plant equipment, high-speed packaging equipment, sand conveyor systems, gas-fired burners, transfer conveyors, pumps, as well as mobile equipment. The plant has a variety of electrical equipment, including Allen Bradley PLCs & VFDs, Danfoss drives, Modicon PLC’s and Ethernet communications. Working as part of a dynamic team, the position will be involved in all aspects of planned/unplanned electrical maintenance using Continuous Improvement tools and methods (TPM). This is a representative position and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Duties:

  • Read and understand electrical prints and schematic drawings
  • Troubleshoot and repair all types of electrical controls, including 460-volt, three-phase motors and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controlled (PLC) equipment, including Allen Bradley and Modicon controllers
  • Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motors and equipment
  • Perform electrical control design work and equipment control modifications
  • Perform electrical equipment installations according to the National Electrical Code (NEC), including all feeder and branch circuits
  • Maintain a safe work environment and the safety management of assigned employees. Must recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and property loss. Required to complete safety audits/inspections of the assigned work area; thorough investigations of incidents and accidents, job safety analysis, and periodic safety meetings
  • Support 5S and World Class Manufacturing initiatives
  • Work within the Safe Work Process and Permitting procedures in CertainTeed Roofing Inc.
  • Other duties as assigned

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years of industrial electrical maintenance experience
  • An Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related one-year industrial electrical trade school training preferred
  • An electrician's license is desired
  • Ability to program PLC and SCADA equipment
  • Previous experience with the maintenance of roofing production equipment is preferred
  • Capable of troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical controls and equipment, including PLC, VFD, and PC communication systems
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Must understand and use preventive and predictive maintenance systems and World Class Manufacturing tools

POSITION SUMMARY

Shift: 2nd shift, 2PM-10PM

In alignment with company vision, mission, values, and objectives, the mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, maintain and improve mechanical systems with intent of improving uptime and efficiency.

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work hours with occasional optional as well as mandatory overtime necessary to meet deadlines or objectives
  • Works in a manufacturing plant environment which may include exposure to industrial solvents, liquids and other materials.
  • Work with an awkward posture for 2 hours or more.
  • The working environment will extend to both hot and cold conditions Work in hot environments exceeding 110 degrees and dusty confined spaces.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be capable of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary to comply with government and company safety standards. Job includes tasks that require bending, lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs., twisting, gripping and stair climbing. Willing and able to work at heights.

What’s the job? 

This position requires excellent troubleshooting skills along with the ability to proficiently read and interpret electrical schematics.  The successful candidate must be familiar, through hands on experience, with PLC hardware, PLC troubleshooting and ladder logic. Programming experience is a plus but not required.  Must be able to troubleshoot and repair all electrical installations and components in the facility and be familiar with touch screen technology function and development.  Experience with robotics is also a plus. 

Schedule: Night shift, 12 hour rotating crew. 3 days one week/ 4 days the next with every other weekend off

  • Inspect manufactured product for dimensional consistency, workmanship and finish.
  • Maintains the flow of product through inspection in a timely manner meeting due dates for outside processes and customer deliveries.
  • Inspects incoming materials for conformance to requirements, reviews certifications for conformance, issues DMR or NCMR in our ERP system if needed.
  • Performs In-process inspection.
  • Reviews certification packages for product and releases for shipment in ERP system.
  • Files electronic data on server and maintains accurate and orderly certification files in QA
  • Assists the Lead Inspector and Department Supervisor as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
  • Quality Inspection Experience (2 to 4 years) – Strongly Preferred
  • High attention to detail and consistency
