Our CertainTeed STONEfacade team is seeking a Senior Research Engineer with specialized knowledge in concrete to join our team in Malvern, PA. The Senior Research Engineer is expected to lead efforts to develop new products to grow STONEfacade product lines within CertainTeed’s siding business. This individual is expected to have product development responsibility, which includes developing cementitious formulation from the mix to hardened state; characterization of each step; scale-up to manufacturing process; solve problems in the plants; and implement continuous improvements. This engineer is expected to use fundamental scientific principles, along with the latest research and methods, to reduce risk and ensure a successful product launch. Applied knowledge of concrete will be key. Additionally, this role will be fundamental in supporting STONEfacade’s digitalization and automation of several process steps (VOC, Quality Control, Paint, Packaging) to improve the plant productivity and new product’s time to market.

Responsibilities:

New product development and launch:

• Lead the product development through design, formulation, and testing of cementitious materials to meet aesthetics, performance, sustainability, and cost improvements.
• Collaborate with marketing, and production teams to ensure smooth development of new products from concept through to commercialization.
• Conduct laboratory and plant trials, analyzing results to optimize product performance.
• Align product development with market trends and customer needs to drive product innovations and improvements.

Process engineering, continuous process improvement, and plant support:

• Work closely with manufacturing teams to streamline production processes, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
• Analyze existing manufacturing operations to identify areas for optimization, implementing continuous improvement initiatives as well as digitalization and automation for multiple process steps opportunities.
• Provide technical support to plant operations, troubleshooting issues related to concrete formulations, equipment, mold development or production processes.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and operators to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Formulation development and raw material qualifications

• Develop and optimize concrete formulations to meet aesthetics, performance, durability, and sustainability goals.
• Conduct research on new raw materials, evaluating their suitability and performance in concrete applications.
• Oversee the qualification and testing of new raw materials, ensuring compatibility with production processes and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate alternative materials and reduce material costs without compromising quality.

Technical product management

• Provide technical expertise to support internal teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support, regarding product performance and capabilities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications, test reports, and technical datasheets.
• Support training and presentations development to educate customers and internal stakeholders on product features and best practices.

What’s the job?

• Answer line calls to troubleshoot any mechanical process or extrusion problem
• Build, repair, or modify all Plant equipment, including extrusion and blending equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance for production, blending, air compression systems, chillers, closed-loop water system, and the plant lift trucks
• Test water in closed-loop system for pH factors, environmental concerns, and add chemicals as needed

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Master Data Analyst is responsible for managing and governing supply chain master data with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and usability. You’ll support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), improve ERP-driven planning via the QAD MRP module, and ensure the integrity of manufacturing data, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings. Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and enforce governance standards for master data across parts, suppliers, customers, BOMs, and manufacturing routings.
• Ensure BOMs and routings are structured, accurate, and aligned with engineering and production requirements.
• Conduct regular audits and data cleansing to maintain integrity and traceability of BOM and routing data.
• Classify and standardize commodities and components with appropriate category codes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for master data queries, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries, governance documentation, and training content for end-users.
• Support S&OP by preparing structured and validated demand and capacity planning data.
• Extract and analyze data to support KPI dashboards and operational reporting.
• Leverage QAD MRP functionality to optimize planning and material flow.
• Build and maintain reports in Power BI or Tableau for cross-functional visibility.
• Collaborate on cross-functional projects to improve data usability, reporting accuracy, and system integration.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

• Associate or BS Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain/operations and or Data Science or relative experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable, general accounting and/or relevant experience in a mid-size to large company. Prior experience servicing internal customers in a shared service organization is a plus.
• Experience with integrated ERP and financial reporting systems. SAP and QAD a plus.

The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $74,131 to $102,600. Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, maintain industrial equipment as necessary. Trouble shoot machine break down and repair situations and safely restore the machine to the proper operating condition. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:  The manufacturing plant is not temperature-controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present in the plant areas.   Manufacturing processes involve asphalt coating and polypropylene.  Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as forklifts, buggies, genie booms, and industrial sweepers travels throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas.

Principales responsabilités :

• Diagnostiquer les problèmes et apporter les corrections nécessaires
• Déterminer les interventions en fonction des priorités et de la maintenance préventive
• Réparer, démonter, modifier, ajuster et installer des équipements ; monter les machines selon les plans
• Dépanner les problèmes électriques
• Doit avoir une connaissance des drives et PLC
• Effectuer l'entretien préventif de tous les équipements et du bâtiment
• Installer les machines et les équipements
• Évaluer les besoins en matériel liés à ses fonctions et en informer son superviseur
• Conduire un chariot élévateur à fourche
• Prendre les mesures nécessaires pour protéger sa santé, sa sécurité et son bien-être physique ainsi que ceux de ses collègues ou de toute autre personne se trouvant sur le lieu de travail ou à proximité
• Remplir les formulaires appropriés
• Effectuer toutes autres tâches connexes

The EHS Engineer performs a variety of functions to maintain and preserve the safety and health of employees and the environment. Responsible for the coordination and directing of environmental, safety and health initiatives and reporting at the facility to assure compliance with local, state, federal, and company worker safety, health and environmental regulations and programs. Proactively drives awareness, communicates best practices, provides training and implements new programs related to Safety, Environmental and Health. Is an integral part of the WCM Health and Safety, Environment, and Risk Prevention Pillars.

Essential Functions:

• Developing, maintaining and updating facility health, safety, and environmental programs, procedures, records, and documents and ISO14000 compliant Environmental Management System
• Planning, scheduling, and conducting training related to health, safety, and environmental programs.
• Oversee investigations of incidents and make recommendations for corrective action.
• Responsible for the site’s regulatory reporting requirements under local, state and federal guidelines including emission and waste discharge, and well as corporate reporting requirements.
• Coordinates health, safety, and environmental projects with other departments/functions and recommends and implements methods to increase health, safety, and environmental compliance and reduce/eliminate identified risk
• Conduct risk assessments, develop and implement action plans.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering discipline, Safety and/or Environmental Sciences preferred) (Required)
• Experience developing, implementing and running a safety program in a manufacturing setting (Preferred)
• Experience with environmental reporting within a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment and competent to assess safety and environmental risk and recommend improvements in controls as needed (competence in using a disciplined risk and gap reduction methodology)
• Ability to lead teams and/or actively participate on teams and coordinate activities with other departments/functions to achieve the EHS goals for the site.

CE QUE NOUS OFFRONS :

Salaire : 40,25$/hr

• Prime pour le quart de nuit et fin de semaine et 12 heures
• Temps supplémentaire disponible selon les besoins
• Allocation pour l’achat d’outils jusqu’à 300$/année (après la période de probation)
• Régime d’assurances collectives de base payé par l’employeur (après la période de probation);

Horaire : rotation 

• Horaire sur 12 heures rotatif, cycle de 8 semaines jour/nuit/fin de semaine
• Semaine de 36 heures (jour / de nuit) & semaine de 48 heures (jour / de nuit)

TÂCHES

• Répondre aux besoins spécifiques à la production
• Assurer l'entretien et réparation du système électrique de production de l'usine, salles de contrôle & bureaux, convoyeur, moteurs, système de ventilation et boites électriques
• Collaborer avec le service de l'entretien dans sa discipline électrique pour les projets et réparations majeurs
• Disponibilité à effectuer du temps supplémentaire
• Toutes autres tâches connexes

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

• AEC en automatisme industriels, instrumentation et/ou automatisation & contrôle
• Détenir la Licence C (essentiel)
• Avoir un minimum de 3 ans d’expérience pertinente en milieu industriel;
• Connaissances des PLC, contrôleurs de vitesse, servomoteurs et interfaces digitales (HMI)
• Connaissance d’appareillage de contrôle en instrumentation
• Autonome, débrouillard et collaboratif
• Réussir l’examen technique de l’usine
• Respecter les consignes de sécurité, utiliser les équipements de protection et signaler tout danger.

• Diagnostiquer, réparer et la maintenance préventive sur les équipements mobiles tel que ; chariots élévateurs, chargeur sur roue, balais mécanique, plateforme élévatrice de même que divers attachements du manufacturier ''Cascade''.
• Exécuter, conformément à un programme d'entretien préventif, la vérification, le démontage, la réparation, l'assemblage, l'ajustement et l'installation de pièces ou d'équipements hydrauliques et électriques.
• Assurer et augmenter la fiabilité, le rendement et la longévité des équipements mobiles.
• Participer aux différents projets connexes reliés à son travail tel que ; Kaizen, 5S, etc.
• Effectuer les réparations selon la qualité et les normes souhaitées.
• Adhérer au programme en matière de SST de l'entreprise de même qu'utiliser les outils qui s'y rattachent.

Qualifications et compétences requises :

• Diplôme d'études professionnelles en mécanique ou électromécanique ou dans un domaine équivalent.
• Expérience comme mécanicien de chariot élévateur (Obligatoire)
• Être apte à lire des plans hydrauliques et électriques
• Être disponible pour répondre aux urgences en dehors des heures régulières.
• Fortes aptitudes pour l'amélioration continuent.
• Être en mesure de manipuler des charges de 25lbs et plus.
• Posséder son coffre à outils personnel.
