POSITION SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, handles and maintains flow of materials and products in distribution areas according to established guidelines. Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment while accurately storing, shipping, and receiving product, meeting the company standards of safety, security, and productivity.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment, specifically the wire-guided Stock Picker Forklift
• Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment to safely move product to locations and efficiently move product to outbound staging areas for shipment.
• Efficiently Put Away, Replenish, and Pick orders and assemble product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and product ordered is packed and shipped free of damage.
• Using voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment for picking, Processing and loading function, put-away and loading functions, as required.
• Completing equipment inspections daily and documenting findings on the GEMOne System
• Operating Jungheinrich material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner following the prescribed work methods.
• Maintaining the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion ensuring that product can be efficiently picked.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS REQUIRED AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to work 2nd shift 3pm-1130pm with possibility of overtime
  • Ability to read and effectively communicate in English, count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly
  • Familiarity with voice picking and/or radio frequency equipment is beneficial
  • Ability and/or knowledge of various processing functions or willingness to learn
  • Ability to support DC Operations by performing operational tasks including truck loading in addition to processing or willingness to learn
  • Must display a high level of accuracy, initiative and dependability with a good attendance record
  • Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow directions both verbal and written
  • Must have good visual acuity, depth perception, and peripheral vision
  • Must have no adverse hearing loss that cannot be corrected with hearing aids
  • Ability to pass OSHA approved Jungheinrich material handling equipment certification
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to modest amounts of heat, cold, dust, noise, and vibrations
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs consistently, up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to maintain a high level of frequency & intensity in other physical activities including, but not limited to reaching, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, stooping, kneeling & crouching

Screen & Packaging Specialist

Our specialized packaging department is the final step in the process before our products are shipped to our customers. Individuals working in this area are responsible for visually screening and packaging products according to visual aids, routing work instructions and customer specific requirements. A can-do attitude, accuracy of work and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.

 

  • Record data on work orders and inspection reports, record and report problems as they arise
  • Read work order routings to obtain methods for packaging product. When a work order routing is not available, retrieve data QAD

  • Issue materials to work orders and receive in product against work order through QAD.

  • Verify transactions to insure that inventory is accurate.
  • Complete required verification steps for packing slips and move to next step.
  • Visually screen parts as needed, per instructions from the quality department.
  • Weigh count and package parts according to various instructions in work order routings or visual aids.
  • Clean, package product according to department standards.
  • Maintain inventory of all supplies used in the department. Submit various requisitions to purchasing.
  • Complete cycle counts as requested from planning
  • Complete DMR when non-conforming product is found
  • Working with your manager and Lead, prioritize work to ensure customer due dates are met
  • Reading, interpreting work instructions and verifying their accuracy. Making any corrections to these documents through proper channels for verification and Revision control

 

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
  • Must perform intermediate math operations, including use of decimals, fractions and S.I. units
  • Previous experience screening materials in an ISO 9100 environment
  • Experience in manufacturing environment with general knowledge of machining practices 
  • Knowledge of proper safety procedures
  • Effective verbal/written communications skills and organizational skills
  • Constant walking; occasional sitting

Reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, the Line Lead is accountable for ensuring that Production Lines are performing and in alignment with plant goals and objectives, safety standards, World Class Manufacturing and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

People engagement and involvement are critical in creating and sustaining our desired culture; therefore, the Production Line Lead will be responsible for leading by example and will be required to participate in Continuous Improvement projects.

Hours: Monday-Thursday - 9:00pm-7am, OT as scheduled

Job Description:

10% Safety

  • Follow all safety rules and policies
  • Ensure line activity is in accordance with rules and policies while providing leadership to the line activity when needed

15% Quality

  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) applicable to the Line Lead position

30% Production Processes and Housekeeping

  • Track and/or fill out metrics required to accurately close out production work orders
  • Aid in minimizing/elimination of process wastes using Continuous Improvement tools
  • Maintain good housekeeping as established by Line Lead Duty Sheets and identify gaps and areas for improvement
  • Fill out maintenance work orders and assists Maintenance Technicians as needed
  • Support Continuous Improvement expansion by participating and adhering to requirements as established by equipment/area sustainment boards

10% Equipment

  • Perform Autonomous Maintenance (CILT- clean, inspect, lube, and tighten) on production equipment
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition

30% Leadership

  • Responsible for being a leadership resource to production line activity, providing guidance on processes and equipment/tool operation
  • Train line operators on required process and equipment operation utilizing SOPs and creating the required documentation via OPLs when not available
  • Report online performance, against standards and schedule, during daily meetings
  • Responsible for ensuring Production Line is operating to planned Production Schedule
  • Continuously evaluate workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels

5% OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives, including but not limited to kaizen events, sustainment board launches, SOP writing and development, Safety “Red” tagging of equipment, etc.
  • Assist team members with tactical operations to help team meet yield and availability numbers
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed and / or requested by management

Circular Economy & Packaging Analyst

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The position will support initiatives across Saint-Gobain North America (SGNA) in pursuit of Saint-Gobain’s ESG goals, with a focus on Circular Economy and its associated Packaging programs. The Circular Economy goals include reduction of production waste, avoidance of virgin raw materials, reduction of Scope 3 emissions, and recyclable packaging use. To accomplish these goals, this person will work on two areas: (1) analysis of packaging programs such as extended producer responsibility programs (EPR) to inform packaging reduction, reuse and recyclability efforts (2) assist the North American businesses to execute on their circularity roadmaps.

This person will work within teams from all parts of the organization to develop ideas, strive for alignment, and follow through with execution. This includes the following:

  • Lead collection of data from SGNA businesses to meet reporting campaigns for Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) programs for relevant US states and Canadian provinces.
  • Lead analysis of packaging data to unearth cost saving opportunities through packaging synergies between SGNA BUs.
  • Conduct market research – including circular economy trends in packaging materials and technologies – to identify new opportunities on recyclable packaging, competitive moves, industry news and wider policy decisions that can impact circular economy.
  • Collaborate with NA Packaging Purchasing team to identify new business opportunities, build rigorous business cases, secure buy-ins, and execute pilots (to demonstrate solution fit) to incorporate packaging reduction, reuse and recycling efforts.
  • Support North American teams such as Circular Economy venture team members on existing projects specific to recycling and circularity as needed.
  • Support communications, marketing, product management and sales teams’ reporting of circularity, recycled content, embodied carbon, and other product sustainability attributes while maintaining thorough documentation of projects.

Essential Functions

  • Lead data collection and quantitative analysis for all SGNA BUs that are in scope for Extended Producers Responsibility (EPR) requirements.
  • Conduct opportunity analysis activities – for North American BU circularity efforts – such as targeted market research, cost/benefit analysis, pilot execution, and develop slides to stakeholders under direction of department leadership.
  • Engage external leads and internal capabilities (incl. Purchasing team) for value-add activities such as cost savings in packaging materials, enhance packaging reduction, reuse recyclability, and reduce friction in reporting data through automated tools.
  • Participate in North American BU level sustainability and green teams to provide sustainability and circularity business expertise for their strategy development in pursuit of goals.
  • Proactively represent SGNA in subject-matter conferences, tradeshows and external partnership opportunities in industry and supply/customer chains.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will drive sales and build strategic partnerships for Single-Use Systems within the assigned territory and portfolio. Manage territory to meet/exceed business goals and objectives in terms of gross sales, margins and new customer acquisition. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 20% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $122,400 to $189,600. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
