Warehouse Associate will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities for the operations in his/her assigned area. The successful candidate will follow plant, departmental, and job safety policies as well as know, understand, and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of safe operating procedures, including housekeeping requirements. The candidate should have a basic knowledge and understanding of all quality procedures and guidelines, possess the ability to communicate with the previous shift regarding proper counts and any other issues. The Warehouse Associate will be able to identify the non-quality products and report problems, report unsafe conditions and correct immediately, learn and use computer systems for Quality and Production reporting. The ability to communicate with other associates and areas to ensure a good working environment is imperative. The Warehouse Associate must be able to: • Work a set schedule on 1st shift or 2nd shift Monday - Friday. • Report to scheduled work shift on time every day • Work overtime as required • Work in an environment that is hot in the summer and cold in the winter • Wear personal protective equipment that may include: hearing protection, steel toe boots, safety glasses, FR clothing, Hard Hats, masks, and respirators • Lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs. • Carry up to 50 lbs. • Safely operate a powered industrial vehicle (forklift, etc.) • Safely load product on flatbed trailers • Work productively as a member of a team Starting pay is $17.50/hour and benefits begin on the first day of employment!

Lead Quality Technician

The Lead Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of polyimide and other engineering plastic components through meticulous measurement, recording, and reporting of quality characteristics. This position involves the use of both contact and non-contact measuring tools, as well as conducting visual inspections. The Lead Quality Technician will oversee the site’s calibration program, manage incoming material inspections, track discrepant materials, generate customer Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and process capability reports, and conduct internal audits.

This role involves organizing and supervising the Quality Technician and Inspector teams, assigning daily tasks, prioritizing workload, and providing feedback to both internal and external stakeholders regarding job timelines and results. The Lead Quality Technician is expected to foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork, continuous improvement, and thorough documentation of quality processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct safety observations and participate in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) activities as required, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe equipment operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 5S principles before, during, and after each shift.
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and honestly.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives focused on output, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Record and report data and problems, escalating issues as per established protocols.
  • Handle raw materials, hazardous waste, and defective parts responsibly and in an environmentally safe manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on measurement equipment.
  • Follow written procedures, work routers, work instructions, and ASTM specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot measurement equipment under standard operating conditions.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage the Quality Notification (QN) process and control of nonconforming material, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Complete and sign-off on first and last article inspections promptly.
  • Oversee calibration programs and incoming material inspections as assigned.
  • Implement and update inspection plans and work instructions, assigning appropriate metrology to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Utilize Minitab or similar software to generate process capability and SQC reports.
  • Interpret customer part drawings and GD&T to develop quality inspection plans.
  • Provide training and support to Quality Technicians, Inspectors, Screeners, and Shipping/Receiving personnel as needed.
  • Serve as a reference point for quality-related inquiries and recommendations.

This position requires a proactive individual with strong leadership capabilities who can cultivate a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Basic computer and mathematical skills.
  • Experience in reading engineering drawings and understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Maintenance Technician

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical. equipment and procedures. Must have experience with hand and power tools.
  • Must have good communication skills and work in a team-based environment, as well as concern for customers.
  • Must have flexibility and will be required to be on-call on a rotating basis.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency (with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a similar type of industry/process is preferred - chemical, powder processing, etc.

  • Previous forklift and aerial lift experience preferred.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

  • Works in a manner that is safe while continuously ensuring quality, production and performance expectations are met
  • Performs hands-on maintenance tasks (repair and troubleshoot) according to set production maintenance priorities.  Responsible for all equipment and systems within the facility
  • Responsible for scheduling and performing preventative maintenance

  • Responsible for inventory for parts & equipment. Works with vendors / OEM to obtain parts pricing and repair recommendations for process equipment and systems

  • Maintains accurate maintenance records and recommendations for further action
  • Participates in startup and shutdown activities as required. Assists with Shutdown Task planning and scheduling

  • Preparation of equipment procedures and predetermination of material, equipment, and manpower for project continuity
  • Maintains the Maintenance Department work area and other maintenance parts areas. Clean-up after each task and on a daily basis performs care for tools and proper storage. Responsible for 5S and housekeeping as it pertains to maintenance parts, the maintenance shop, and maintenance jobs
  • Conducts OSC safety training and supervises maintenance and facility contractors when assigned. Provides leadership and job skill development for colleagues and contractors as needed
  • 24-hour call-in availability, as assigned
  • Complies with ISO9001 directives and TQM principles, complies with all Company, Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations in regards to Health, Safety, and the Environment

What’s the Job?

 

This position is responsible for the management of all Purchasing activities and projects under their scope as well as the oversight for the Shakopee, MN (based), Portland, OR(remote roofing facility)  and Denver, CO (remote warehouse) facilities.  This position will perform all purchasing activity (including but not limited to: negotiation, management of spend, bid management, and execution of contracts for both goods and services).  This role will focus on cost savings, strategic purchasing improvement, implementation and adherence to global compliance, and utilization of internal digital tools while providing timely service to internal customers.

  • Act as both a tactical and strategic Purchaser for the site and business unit while prioritizing cost savings initiatives.
  • Engage the plant’s technical teams early in the buying process to ensure compliance of purchasing methodology and proper management through the bidding platform.
  • Foster site compliance regarding the North American Purchasing Policy [NAPP], Purchasing’s Internal Controls Reference Framework [ICRF], Gift Policy, and Credit Card [One-Card] Policy.
  • Ability to manage projects for sites which they oversee, evaluate spend, to develop site portfolios for site agreements and cross-site/business synergies to leverage contract negotiation.
  • Drive compliance of the company’s digital tools to ensure everything is bid out according to policy, vendors are validated, and savings/avoidance is properly tracked/reported.
  • Utilize the law department library of contracts for all capital, equipment, and service transactions.
  • Process/monitor purchase orders and act as full-scope vendor liaison (i.e. bid walks, quotation, negotiation, purchases, contracts, risk qualification, SGCT Drug & Alcohol Policy, etc).
  • Execute and review monthly reporting to ensure proper site operations, commitments are reconciled, and on-time payments are achieved.
  • Hold regular training sessions and monthly Purchasing meetings with the plant staff regarding Purchasing procedures.
  • Documentation Process Coordinator for files and records (i.e. quotations, purchase orders, reports, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and audit guidelines.
  • Required to sign Purchasing Charter, participate in online and in-person training sessions, weekly/monthly conference calls and meetings, and engage in plant level meetings as defined in the operations cadence.
  • Travel to the remote sites must be visiting monthly/yearly based upon need, as well as travel for site audits, vendor tours, emergencies, and events (Buy-Techs, events, staff meetings).

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Diagnose, repair & maintain all systems on mobile equipment such as; forklifts, wheel loaders, as well as various other mobile equipment. This includes, engine, transmission, electrical, hydraulic systems among many others.

  • Occasionally performs work in other trades and provides plant maintenance support.
  • Participates and supports World Class Manufacturing and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Senior Plant Administrator

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Performs a variety of administrative functions in support of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager and plant staff and to coordinate various financial, inventory management, and administrative functions with Payroll/HR, Financial Shared Services, and Gypsum Corporate Office

Maintenance Planner Scheduler

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the insulation manufacturing plant’s reliability-based maintenance strategy which is founded on preventative and predictive maintenance. The position requires hands on maintenance experience and all tasks will be performed supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the organization. This position will collaborate with key stakeholders (including vendors, contractors, regional support, and departments at the plant level) to execute planned work with quality and timeliness. This position may occasionally work off-hours as requirements dictate to meet department objectives.

The core function of a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to effectively coordinate all work activities of the Maintenance Department and is the owner of the SAP-Work Management System (SAP-WMS). The Planner/Scheduler is also responsible for kitting jobs as required and ensuring all data entered into the system is accurate and complete.

The primary weekly responsibilities for this role involve:

  • Generate all Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Non-PM Work Orders (WO) and to ensure any spare parts necessary to execute these tasks are kept in inventory at the stock levels needed.
  • Administrator and trainer for overseeing work notifications via SAP Plant Maintenance System which include collaborating with team supervisors to assign work to either contractors or hourly technicians.
  • Organize and maintain accurate equipment files as well as ensure work orders have prioritized oversight and follow up as necessary. This will include job walk down are prioritized safely, incorporating the necessary work process considerations into each job plan.
  • Collaborates with specialists, engineers and technicians to maximize equipment reliability and availability through effective use of planned maintenance to quickly return equipment to design capability.
  • Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels.
  • Utilizes maintenance planning tools to prioritize work within the facility by identifying and implementing maintenance and reliability activities through the identification of the proper resources, tools and materials.

 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

This team member will have a passion for accuracy and organization. They will be able to take their years of manufacturing know-how and successfully integrate their talents with the plant’s objectives. The team is looking for a team member who will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, science, technical discipline or similar is preferred; or five (5) years of equivalent training and of applied professional experience working in maintenance in an industrial / manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Planner in a manufacturing setting.
  • Very organized; self-directed and takes initiative to address problems. They are a champion for workplace safety and efficiency.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work projects consecutively, with an ability to see projects to timely completion.
