Pay: $30.36 - $39.23 an hour
Schedule: Night shift, rotating days. 6pm-6am

This position will have the responsibility of facility and production machine maintenance which includes performing PMs, repairing machines and components, and processing work requests using the computerized maintenance management system. This position reports to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
What do you bring?
- Inspect equipment and components for wear, malfunctions, misalignments, and other problems.
- Replace equipment components that prevent the equipment from operating efficiently.
- Fabricate and rebuild the components to be used on equipment.
- Must demonstrate core competencies of effective communications, listening, and have strong organizational skills.
- Successfully pass a written test that is intended to determine mechanical skills and knowledge.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and layout instructions to rebuild components and facilitate new equipment installation.
- Understand theory of operations for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to effectively troubleshoot and make repairs to plant process equipment.
- Working knowledge of power transmission components and controls.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems throughout the plant.
- Perform necessary inspections and repairs during weekly maintenance periods.
- Position requires a minimum of an associate degree in industrial maintenance or similar field and/or requisite maintenance experience that lends itself to a working knowledge of the operation of mechanical components and equipment.
- 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Oxy-acetylene cutting and mig/stick welding experience in a shop or maintenance repair shop.
- Must have experience using a computerized maintenance management system to track work orders and account for time utilization.
- G6 welding certification desirable.

Environmental Conditions:
Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Plant environment is not climate controlled. Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as fork lifts, buggies, genie booms and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week, speak clearly so others understand, vision acuity for this position include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Ability to lift a 70 to 90 pound bundle of shingles without assistance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and talk and hear. Must Pass a HUE Test.
