The Plant Quality Manager for Saint-Gobain Life Sciences ensures the plant remains in full compliance with regulatory requirements and ISO requirements as they pertain to the plant, customer specifications, and corporate quality policies. Will ensure the Quality Management System is implemented per requirements (see below) and to report areas of concern to Management.

Key Accountabilities:

Implementation and oversight of a Quality Management System that operates in compliance with corporate quality policies and procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements and industry guidance, including:

  • Document control and review/approval of controlled documents
  • Change management and review of all change controls
  • Supplier quality management and performance of supplier audits as appropriate
  • Complaint management including robust root cause analysis and CAPA
  • Internal Audit Program
  • Training Program
  • Validation Master Plans including equipment, process, product, sterilization and test methods
  • Quality control laboratory and review/approval of QC testing
  • Cleanroom practices including qualification, monitoring and behavior
  • Quality Risk Management

Supports the Global QMS e-tool (MQ1) implementation, plus the WW QMS Manager, in development and deployment of policies and procedures.

Performs Quality Review of batch documentation and testing and determines disposition for all production batches and incoming raw materials.

Customer Management:

  • Facilitate/host customer audits
  • Ensure robust and effective corrective action to customer audit observations.
  • Review/approve Quality Agreements with customers
  • Partner in the resolution of Quality Issues and requests for information by initiating effective interdepartmental communication.
  • Manage ISO Certification & Maintenance

Facilitates Management Review process and the metrics control plan to measure the health of the QMS, Manufacturing System, and Supply Chain.

Performance management, training, and development of direct reports.

REQUIRED:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Life Sciences related field (i.e. Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology), Engineering or Related Field; Required
  • Master's Degree - Engineering or Business; Preferred.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of Life Sciences experience in Regulated Industry (i.e. Pharma, Biopharma, Medical Devices, etc.)
  • 6+ years of progressive manufacturing experience within Quality Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality System design, development and implementation.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.  
  • Ability to travel upwards of 20% to sister sites and/or training.

The Production Manager will lead all aspects of continuous improvement for a multi-product line operation that services Saint-Gobain Life Sciences' business units. Will lead and manage the Largo production operations, including the engineering & materials management, with nine direct reports.

  • Execute production schedule, responsible for meeting on-time delivery objectives, maintain a safe inventory of raw materials and packaging, finished product, and spare parts.
  • Monitor and react to established performance indicators, including budget variances, production, and quality and safety metrics. Manage scrap reduction programs through operator training, equipment improvements, and schedule optimization.
  • Supervise daily activities of subordinates on respective shift. In addition, develop personal/departmental goals and objectives and critique pervious performance with each employee through annual review.

    Manage departmental activities and coordinate with other departments to meet facility and corporate objectives. Review staffing requirements daily/weekly and assign overtime as required.

  • Manage the Engineering team to recommend, initiate, and deliver completed projects to continually improve the production efficiency, equipment, and work environments to ensure quality, delivery, and financial goals in an ISO certified facility.
  • Responsible for coordination with other departments to include production planning, manufacturing engineering, quality control and product engineering.

    Other duties as assigned.

What’s the job?

The primary function of the Electronic Technician (ET) is to bridge the gap between the plants Industrial Electricians and Engineering staff by providing electrical/electronic troubleshooting support and the preventative/predictive maintenance of electrical & electronic equipment.

Essential functions:

  • Responsible for the troubleshooting of PLC’s related to safety, automation, and control systems
  • Conduct troubleshooting and calibration of thermocouples, RTD’s, level sensing devices, thickness detectors, consistency transmitters, load cells, servos and other electrical/electronic devices
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • Provide support to the Engineering department on new installations of electronic control equipment
  • Assist the electrical department as needed in troubleshooting of plant equipment, machinery, utilities, and safety systems
  • Assist management in root-cause analysis on losses related to electrical/electronic failures
  • To closely work with the other Maintenance department crafts to support initiatives that improves equipment reliability

Schedule: 7am-3pm Mon-Friday,  or 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am (4 on 4 off rotation)

Compensation: 37.44 per hour, plus shift differential

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

What do you bring?

  • Minimum of 2- year degree in Electrical/Electronic discipline or equivalent Certification
  • Prior experience in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • Thorough knowledge of AC/DC drive systems, Power distribution systems including switch gear components, Servo Motor Equipment and programming, Ethernet Networking systems, HMI and PLC Programming / Troubleshooting, Electrical & Electronic systems integration, Electro-Mechanical design and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and comprehend prints and schematics
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems operations
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

STEPS TO JOIN US

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the pay rate for this position which is $37.44 per hour, plus shift differential (see below.) In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 7% and can be up to 21% eligible earnings based on company performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company performance and is not a guarantee.

Additional Pay Incentives for This Role Include:

  • Shift Differentials Hourly Rate plus 2nd Shift Differential of $.45/ hr if working 3P-11P; Hourly Rate plus 3rd Shift Differential of $.55/ hr if working 11P-7A and Hourly Rate plus 3rd Shift Differential of $.63, if working 7pm-7am Shift)
  • Standard Overtime (Hourly Rate * 1.5x)
  • Attendance Incentive for Meeting Company Attendance Requirements (starts at $200/yr)
  • Weekend Shift Incentive - (All Sundays worked is 2.0x per hour)

The CNC Machinist – Lathes sets up and operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts per work order/drawing requirements in a safety conscious and quality-focused manner.

  • Read blueprint drawings, job orders, tooling instructions or standard charts to determine specification procedures.
  • Program (G Code), set-up and run various machine tools on a conventional and CNC lathes, and punch press machine.
  • Use appropriate measuring equipment (such as micrometers, vernier, height gauges, bore gauges etc.) to ensure that all components produced meet customer specifications.
  • Meet ongoing production quotas while working within very close tolerances in a machine-shop production environment.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance.

  • Contribute to team effort by performing other supporting tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor or Lead.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • HS Diploma or GED certificate
  • Minimum 3 years previous work experience as a CNC Machinist with understanding of CNC lathes machines.

  • Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with shipping, receiving, and production teams to meet deadlines and shipping schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment used in the crating process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Measure, cut, and assemble crates to fit specific products or equipment.
  • Secure items inside crates using appropriate padding, bracing, or fasteners to prevent movement or damage.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during crate construction
