This position is responsible for creation of custom injection mold tools for silicone injection molded components related to the life science biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry. Tooling will include the injection tooling, mandrels, fixturing, mandrel removal tools and any other required tooling for production to efficiently interact with the injection tool.

Candidate will have a high level of ability to design in SolidWorks and use PDM. Must be able to follow SOP’s, MOP’s and WIs for all work required. Candidate will also be able to work independently, be self-starting, and have a proven ability to collaborate with a team to optimize designs.

Candidates will also promote a safe working environment, comply with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participate in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

This job will be located on-site at Saint-Gobain Beaverton, Michigan.

Job Functions:

  • Design injection mold tooling, fixtures, guides – Simple tooling modifications to custom complex tooling
  • Maintain tool drawings as controlled documents using PDM
  • Eval Drawings for DVC
  • Creation of process drawings
  • General maintenance and organization of PDM files and physical inventory of sample components.
  • Plant required training and activities (Smats, Pick 6, Boost, ect.)

  • Minimum 2-year degree in CAD or related field; required.
  • 3 -5 years of design experience; required.
  • Demonstrated technical, practical, and scientific knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and assembly as related to the creation of injection mold tooling; required.

  • Ability to use SolidWorks to design and improve the creation of injection mold tooling; required.

In this position, employees will work in a variety of positions on the finishing line producing joint compound. When working as an operator, you will communicate the quality of our product to the rest of the team as well as maintain the quality. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:

• Installation of machinery and equipment
• Lubrication of equipment

• Reassembling equipment
• Pipefitting, to include installation, repair of various systems (boiler, heat and steam systems)

Receiving Clerk - 1st Shift

Job Goals:

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving product through SAP, maintaining incoming inventory accuracy, and processing non inventory materials and services received at Saint-Gobain Performance Film Solutions and subcontractors of Saint-Gobain Performance Film Solutions. Supports warehouse operation by maintaining all receiving paperwork and directing incoming receiving traffic. Primary receiving contact between Purchasing, Scheduling, Suppliers, and the Warehouse.

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:
Performs receiving duties including:

  • Processing of incoming materials into SAP system.
  • Tagging of all inventory items via SAP system and verification of incoming material information.
  • Maintaining receiving files and incoming material records.
  • Unloading incoming trucks and receiving materials including non-production materials such as supplies and machine parts using various powered and manual material handling equipment.
  • Delivery of incoming materials (inventory and non-inventory) to assigned locations or persons within the plant.
  • Maintains warehouse organization.

  • Communication with purchasing department on incoming material issues.

  • Coordinates communication between our organization and customer engineering to see projects evolve into new business.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • BS Degree in a technical field is required with a minimum of 5+ year(s) sales experience. Consideration may be given to those in lieu of a technical degree with a non-technical bachelor's degree and 8+ years' sales experience.
  • 5+ years' experience with B2B sales (with a focus on technical component sales is preferred).
  • Aerospace experience is preferred.
  • Must have ability to read blueprints and ability to interface and collaborate with Engineers on technical aspects of the product application.

Maintenance Supervisor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Supervises the daily activities of skilled maintenance personnel and assists with maintenance project work as assigned.  Provides key leadership while promoting positive employee relations within the maintenance team. Essential Functions:

  • Directly supervises the hourly skilled maintenance employees in the improvement and maintenance of plant equipment, building maintenance, machinery, utilities, etc. Will lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and health policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Organize and structure planned and unplanned repairs and preventive maintenance routines in a manner that will ensure efficient operation of equipment and plant operating systems.
  • Communicates & documents employee expectations and assesses employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities for maintenance crews and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees.
  • Works with Maintenance Superintendent/Manager to develop PMS that drives improved reliability, as well as developing and maintaining standards, and will maintain records of all plant and individual equipment performance.
  • Oversees the training of maintenance employees to ensure they receive adequate training before repairing/working on any of the manufacturing equipment per standard operating and maintenance procedures, and work instructions.
  • Assists in performing root-cause analysis as well as implementing sustainable countermeasures on losses related to equipment/machinery failure.
  • Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas.
  • Reviews and approves employee time in the UKG timekeeping system and ensures employees are paid the correct hours and wages in accordance with the respective site's pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements.

  • High level of knowledge/understanding of Preventive Maintenance (PM) tracking systems
  • Ability to lead small to medium-sized cross-functional teams under high-pressure environments.

Digital Transformation & Technical Support

Supervise the digitalization team and project engineers. Drive the development and implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions to optimize performance, data analytics, and remote monitoring.

Team development & Cross-functional Collaboration

Develop and maintain all technical competences and resources to secure continuous and safe operations (including Digital, Mechanical, Automation, Electrical and Project management skills).

  • Load and unload trailers and operate material handling equipment such as forklift or pallet jacks.
