Plant Manager – Little Rock, AR

Lead a High-Impact Manufacturing Operation Driving Safety, Performance, and Innovation.

We’re seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to lead our Little Rock, AR facility—home to a multi-product commercial roofing operation. This role is responsible for delivering results across safety, operational performance, cost control, capital execution, and talent development. As the senior leader onsite, you’ll oversee all plant functions, including Production, Engineering, Materials Management, World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Quality, and Health & Safety, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing leadership, a sharp business mindset, and a collaborative management style. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, drive operational excellence through lean and WCM principles, and act as a key liaison between the plant, corporate functions, and external stakeholders. Your ability to inspire teams, manage complexity, and foster a high-performance culture will be essential to the site's success.

  • Manage, direct, and coordinate all operations directly related to the production and shipment of all products produced by the facility: Materials Management, Manufacturing and Manufacturing Systems, Facilities Engineering/Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Shipping and Receiving, Process Engineering, Purchasing
  • Manage, direct, and coordinate Plant staff functions. Manage positive employee relations.
  • Staff all above functions, as appropriate to the most effective achievement of operational goals and objectives.
  • Design and administer effective Human Resources programs to equip employees to achieve business goals and to foster career development and organizational succession plans
  • Ensure that the facility is operating safely and in full environmental compliance.
  • Serve as principal facility communications liaison with other Waterproofing Company and external contacts
  • Prepare operational plans and budgets, and report to appropriate Management on actual performance vs. those plans.
  • Drive systematic cost improvement and state-of-the-art processing through the WCM program.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • A bachelor’s Degree, preferably in materials, manufacturing, chemical, or mechanical engineering, is required. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive operations experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Management and supervisory skills developed in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to foster and establish effective working relationships with the management team, employees, and key corporate contacts will be critical to facilitating changes necessary to support overall process improvements.
  • High comprehension of P&L, cost accounting, cash flow, capital management, budgeting, and other financial concepts routinely used in planning and measuring plant performance.
  • Knowledge of materials and inventory control practices, production scheduling, and engineering in a manufacturing environment.

The Advanced Manufacturing Manager will lead the development and execution of strategies to leverage technological advancements, optimize manufacturing processes, and drive performance within the Siding Products Group. This role will be responsible for aligning the team’s activities with key business objectives to drive cost savings, deliver measurable business benefits, and achieve a strong return on investment. This includes conceptualizing, standardizing, and implementing technology, tools, and data analytics to streamline processes, close operational gaps, and leverage data to improve product quality and productivity. This role will lead the Advanced Manufacturing team to drive the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation, robotics, AI, predictive maintenance, and IoT to deliver results and transform culture. The candidate will stay current with emerging trends and ensure the company adopts relevant innovations. This role will oversee large-scale projects including new technology deployments, data analytics, and process improvements, ensuring alignment with Industry 4.0 strategies and CAPEX planning.

Essential duties include:

• Lead the design and execution of advanced manufacturing strategies to sustainably enhance productivity, reduce cost, and improve consistency of product quality leveraging leading edge industry 4.0 technology

• Develop automation strategies that align with business long range planning

• Collaborate with plants and functions to align business objectives to I4.0 priorities

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

• Collaborate with IT, RPG, and IPG to benchmark and implement advancements in reliability and 4.0

• Monitor current trends and the newest technologies and consider their application to SPG

Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic will carry out repair and preventive maintenance activities. This includes promptly diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing parts for flat roll steel slitting lines, packaging equipment, banding tools, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems while meeting scheduling priorities, safety, quality productivity, and reliability requirements.
  • Develop, implement & maintain schedules & procedures for preventive maintenance programs in coordination with necessary departments and maintain logs/documents.
  • Advise daily the required repair time to scheduling, and production department if it takes more than 24 hours; Record equipment downtime and repair done in a systematic way.
  • Search, negotiate, and administer contracts for the provision of supplies, parts, and services for maintenance including annual inspection of material handling equipment.
  • Plan, organize, transfer, and install machinery and equipment as per manufacturer’s instructions without compromising safety.
  • Report on a daily basis an update on equipment requiring preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement of parts.
  • Develop required reporting forms, and documentation.
  • Identify and implement work measures to continually improve maintenance work methods, systems, productivity, safety, and quality of service.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5 + years of experience, preferred in a steel processing or steel-making plant environment.
  • Hydraulic systems and heavy equipment experience is essential.
  • Red Seal Certificate (asset).
  • Electronic/Instrumentation maintenance experience (asset).
  • Welding skills operating MIG and TIG welders (asset).
  • Forklift & overhead crane repair knowledge (asset).

Maintenance Mechanic

Responsible for preventative maintenance tasks on industrial machinery, and maintain industrial equipment as necessary. Troubleshoot machine breakdown and repair situations and safely restore the machine to the proper operating condition. Must adhere to all company safety policies and JSA's while performing tasks and at all times when on the premises.   • Inspect non-operational equipment for component wear.
  • Replace non-operational components of equipment that are hindering the equipment from operating efficiently.
  • Fabricate and rebuild the components to be used on the equipment in the plant
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems throughout the process
  • Read and interpret blueprints and layout instructions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic theory.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and adequate skills to understand various plant processes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform daily activities needed to support and comply with requirements surrounding plant maintenance activities.
  • Must be able to dismantle and repair auxiliary equipment such as pumps, compressors, and pipe systems, and perform basic welding and burning in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and schematics, and wire control panels.
  • Fabricate machine parts for repair of the manufacturing lines.
  • Will participate in training, craft skill improvements, and department safety topics.
  • Will participate in the development, understanding, and review of all position JSA's.
  • Conduct required SMAT Audits in accordance with plant goals and objectives.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:   Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas.  Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene.  Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as fork lifts, buggies, genie booms, and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • a minimum of ten (10) years of experience and successfully pass a skills test, that is intended to determine mechanical skills and knowledge, basic electrical, A/C, and 3 phase circuits, general welding, cutting, hydraulic, pneumatics, and instrumentation knowledge and skills.
  • Basic operating knowledge and understanding of computer systems.

This position will require active participation, training, knowledge, and understanding along with progression as a 3rd class and 2nd class mechanic.

What’s the job?

We are looking to hire and experienced Industrial Electrician with 3-phase, 480V, and industrial troubleshooting experience to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand, power, and precision measuring tools. The Electrician diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. The Electrician is responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE. Electrical Tech will report to Maintenance Supervisor or Electrical Engineer and support aspects of maintenance business.

Job Summary
QA Inspectors compare in process and finished goods to established specifications; reports variance to Coordinator.

Essential Functions:

  • Compare first piece produced on equipment set-up for conformance to specification.
  • Write detailed inspection report in compliance with GMP standard on parts, products and processes that fail inspection; investigates scope of the failure and forward report to Coordinator for disposition.
  • Use working knowledge of inspection techniques to determine most accurate method of comparing measurements of complex parts to blueprint and specification.
  • Compare measurements, form, fit, function and value judgments of simple and complex parts to blueprint, specifications and general workmanship standards using documents, experience and knowledge of inspection techniques.
  • Utilize statistical process control where applicable.
  • Assist in orientation of new technicians and inspection processes, as necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring proper calibration of equipment and measuring instruments.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper levelof supplies (office and inspection) to prevent depletion This includes reordering task
  • Carry out formulated plans, policies and procedures of the department per GMP regulations
  • Communicate with employee's any instructions or requirements as deemed necessary by the Quality Manager
  • Must be available for shift work, when necessary
  • Be willing to participate in training that may be conducted off-site
  • Report safety hazards observed to EHS Coordinator
  • Perform stock audits and other related duties as may be required
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior management

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Education Level
Qualifications:
⦁ High School Diploma or equivalent—Required
⦁ Quality Inspection experience (2 to 4 years)—Preferred
⦁ Ability to follow/interpret verbal, written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form instructions
⦁ Ability to read reports and generate reports on productivity and efficiency
⦁ Ability to be highly attentive to detail and consistency
⦁ Physical Demands:

Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist. Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 50 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.

Working Conditions:

This position is in a clean room and office environment where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are mandated. Noise levels and temperatures may vary due to areas accessed. There is some exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals such as alcohol.

Sr. Analyst, Accounting & Reporting

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

  • Serving as an experienced senior lead supporting Shared Services Center (“SSC”) accounting team, Business Unit (“BU”) and Service Provider team members, facilitating day-to-day accounting operations while improving the SSC accounting procedures and internal controls. Provide training and guidance to the SSC and Service Provider accounting team members.
  • Serving as a key Accounting and Reporting point of contact with the customer’s management and staff, delivering high levels of customer service, providing helpful, friendly and informative communications, being proactive in meeting customer needs and requirements, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Driving monthly close by approving journal entries, reconciliations, reports, intercompany invoices and balances, and reviewing income tax provisions. Ensuring Service Provider has all required inputs necessary to complete their closing duties. Responsible for the on-time delivery of closing results to customers’ management. Monitoring and analyzing applicable general ledger activity, ensuring account reconciliations are performed and reconciling items are accounted for on timely basis.
  • Responsible for customer financial reporting, ensuring compilation of Magnitude packages by the Service Provider, BU and SSC are completed on time, accurate and compliant with all controls. Ensuring tax, treasury, and government reports are completed accurately and on time by providing support to Service Provider as needed, quality review and monitoring
  • Ensuring compliance by Service Provider, SSC and BU with Saint-Gobain’s Internal Control Reference Framework (“ICRF”) and accounting guidelines established by GAAP and IFRS.
  • Working closely within the SSC and with the customer by leading or participating on initiatives to meet SSC and BU goals and on customer-sponsored special projects.
  • Responding to financial and tax audit requests for information and insight with support of Service Provider.
  • Applying technical know-how to research/resolve accounting and accounting systems issues for BU while lending direction to Service Provider. Support Service Provider with proper inputs or approvals for exceptions to accounting or process rules.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • BS Business Administration/Accounting.  Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Professional Certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of general accounting experience in a large, complex international business is preferred.  Prior experience servicing internal customers in a shared service utilizing outsourced service provider organization is a plus.
  • Ability to operate within established accounting and reporting guidelines.  Solid grasp of technical accounting and reporting principles with experience working with GAAP and IFRS.  Strong knowledge of and practical experience with internal controls.  Strong problem-solving and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.  Experience with integrated ERP and financial reporting systems.
  • Ability to coach outsourced team members, managing across company, geography, time zone, and culture. Ability to understand cultural differences.
