The Territory Manager (TM) for CertainTeed Exterior Products is responsible for sales growth of CertainTeed’s (CT) portfolio of Residential Roofing products and systems by generating sustained demand and positioning CT as the preferred choice among owner, architect, builder, contractor, and distribution customer audiences in a manner consistent with CertainTeed’s strategic direction.

  • Works collaboratively with Regional Sales Manager to deliver sales growth and sustained demand.
  • Meets Performance Objectives and Incentive Sales Goals as determined by management.
  • Achieves specifications for Value Added Products (VAP) and increases project closing rate in the residential market.
  • Develops and implements territory strategy consistent with the overall business to maximize quality / effectiveness and quantity of sales calls.
  • Calls on end-users, contractors, builders, architects/specifiers, owners and homebuilders creating a “pull-through” demand, subsequently working with distribution customers to close related sales.
  • Actively targets and tracks construction projects from planning through bidding phases to maximize closing rates using company provided tools.
  • Builds, maintains and adds value to relationships between customers and CT’s organization; customers include all audiences, including owners, specifiers, contractors, distributors, etc.
  • Conducts and participates in sales promotions and educational meeting with architects, contractors, builders and builder sales representative, applicators, distributors and other trade factors.

What do you bring? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, marketing, business or similar discipline. OR Comparable experience in lieu of a degree - Five (5) years of equivalent training and experience that provides thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations and practices concerned with the field of construction 
  •  4+ years of applied professional experience which includes managing customer relationships, sales presentations and closings of sales 
  •  Knowledge of residential construction practices. 
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build quality relationships through networking. 
  • Good interpersonal, negotiating and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent presentation skills with good written and oral communication 
  • Valid Driver’s License

MRO Storeroom Attendant/Receiving Clerk

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Manage the receiving, tracking, and distribution of all MRO goods and services. The MRO Storeroom Attendant/Receiving Clerk coordinates day-to-day MRO Storeroom transactions and helps to ensure the accuracy of the inventory data. This position works closely with production & maintenance management/supervision, production & maintenance technicians, and maintenance planning & scheduling. This position reports directly to the MRO Storeroom Supervisor.

NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION

  • Work is primarily done in a parts storeroom setting.
  • Frequent interaction with other employees and outside vendors, both to provide service and ensure MRO Storeroom policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure all MRO parts are identified, numbered, received, issued, and inventoried in the CMMS system (SAP).
  • Ensure MRO parts inventory is organized on the parts shelves in a systematic manner.
  • Create and maintain parts information in SparesFinder inventory tracking system.
  • Maintain manual or computerized procurement records (items/services purchased, product quality, performance, etc.)
  • Help manage reconciliation of invoices and goods receipts.
  • Verify proof of delivery when discrepancies occur and work with vendors to correct receiving and date entry errors.
  • Create purchase requisitions as needed; communicate purchase order numbers to vendors when received and obtain estimated delivery dates.
  • Identify and manage issues regarding open/overdue purchase orders.
  • Review and process daily Stock Replenishment Orders; help to evaluate min/max levels to maximize inventory effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine inventory cycle counts to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to MRO parts management metrics and KPI’s.
  • Help to maintain all of the MRO Storeroom management processes.
  • Maintain an orderly workspace and a clean and safe work environment.
  • Deliver packages to appropriate departs using an industrial motorized cart.
  • Manage outbound shipping of MRO parts & materials.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe manner (pass written & hands-on driving test).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Office setting is temperature controlled. Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as fork lifts, buggies, genie booms and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas. PPE will be needed in designated areas.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in parts stocking, inventory management, shipping, logistics, or related fields is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing (industrial maintenance experience is a plus), and customer service.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication.
  • Written and oral comprehension skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks with little to no direct supervision.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  • A high level of knowledge and understanding of computer systems and programs, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and SAP is a plus.

Ability to safely operate a forklift, pallet truck, and crane hoist. Ability to use safe lifting techniques, and carry 50 lbs. Senior Research Technician - CertainTeed Gypsum

The Senior Research Technician safely performs specialized technical functions involving testing, analyzing, improving, installing, operating, and/or solving problems concerning complex processes, equipment for gypsum boards (fire, acoustic, lightweight etc.) and drywall finishing products including corners and joint tape/ compounds.

Main Functions of the Role:

  • Supports engineers and scientists in R&D team with their projects.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate with 7+ years of experience; Associate degree with 4+ years of experience in technical related field of study/interest, ideally STEM related.
  • Experience in industrial R&D, quality control, or testing labs.
  • Capability to use personal computer and Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and Word able to graph and chart data.
  • Comfortable working with basic machine shop tools – training will be provided.
  • Able to work in a plant environment as needed to scale up products or processes.

Job Description

The assembler is responsible producing quality products to specifications of customers as defined on the product prints and routers. Full participation in activities in the clean room (assembly, heat sealing, cleaning, packing, etc.) to achieve on-time shipment goals and efficiency targets.

Essential Functions

• Read product prints and specifications prior to starting assembly process.

• Follow assembly procedures.

• Fill out all paperwork documenting steps performed, quantities, and quality checks performed.

• Collect components for assembly ensuring lot number traceability.

• Clean components and assemblies with alcohol (IPA).

• Package assemblies in plastic bags and heat seal.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for the rationalization, planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to drive improved sustainable plant reliability. It requires hands-on supervision maintenance employees in the installation, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment, buildings, machinery, etc. This position is responsible for both mechanical and electrical aspects of the operation. Will be a leader of Professional Maintenance oriented improvement projects in area of responsibility involving the incorporation of World Class Manufacturing techniques and principles into all maintenance systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Responsible for the safety of all Associates directly under his/her supervision through adherence with Company rules and guidelines, the collective bargaining agreement, and compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. Will follow and teach safety systems and procedures to employees and contractors. Will perform regular safety audits.
  • Responsible for selecting, training and scheduling technicians for work assignments.
  • Scheduling and monitoring assigned installation, maintenance and repair activities.

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $79,500 to $123,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,400 to $135,800. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

What’s the Job?

The Production Supervisor directly supervises the hourly employees assigned to the production areas of the plant, ensuring the team works in a safe and efficient manner, while producing high quality products in accordance with the production schedule and quality metrics. The leader of this team will utilize people skills and various team-building methods to create a culture of accountability and pride in workmanship in their direct reports.

This role is directly responsible for promoting a safe and clean working environment and ensuring proper PPE and tools are available and utilized. You will support the employees with training and job knowledge; and ensure they are accountable for their contributions in their assigned work roles. This position will be measured against specific KPIs, such as safety and quality performance, production line uptime and prime pounds produced, and labor spending.

  • Directly supervise a union hourly workforce of employees in compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (contract), communicate performance expectations, hold employees accountable to those expectations, and coach and develop employee capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, productivity, labor and spending performance, through development of teams, tracking performance, data interpretation and other problem solving tools.
  • Fill in required job information in IN4.0RM. Complete daily production and material usage reports. Update and maintain time and attendance and payroll data and administer coaching, training, group expectations or discipline as needed.
  • Ensures employees have received appropriate safety training and conform to all safety policies, rules and regulations, challenging behavior as it relates to working unsafely.
  • Ensures all quality specifications are met and maintained.

 

Rotating Shift Schedule with Shift Supervisors arriving 30 minutes early and remaining 30 minutes after shift for a smooth hand-off to the next shift.

Day shift begins Saturday and works through Friday 7:30a – 3:30p
Off Saturday through Tuesday
Returns Wednesday night 11:30p – 7:30a off Wednesday and Thursday
Returns Friday afternoon at 3:30p works through Thursday. Off Friday
Begins day shift rotation again on Saturday.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

 

  • Bachelors of Science degree in technical field is required, or equivalent of industry work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of prior experience supervising employees in a unionized work environment, continuous process manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills, and team building skills, along with the ability to facilitate action plans.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to help fix problems quickly to keep production running.
  • Proven managerial and leadership skills that will motivate and direct a large group of employees, and the skills to effectively support a diverse group of people.
  • Current computer skills, both in PC and control systems, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint required.
