The assembler is responsible producing quality products to specifications of customers as defined on the product prints and routers. Full participation in activities in the clean room (assembly, heat sealing, cleaning, packing, etc.) to achieve on-time shipment goals and efficiency targets.

 

Essential Functions:

• Read product prints and specifications prior to starting assembly process.

• Follow assembly procedures.

• Fill out all paperwork documenting steps performed, quantities, and quality checks performed.

• Collect components for assembly ensuring lot number traceability.

• Clean components and assemblies with alcohol (IPA).

• Package assemblies in plastic bags and heat seal.

• Perform other related tasks, including but not limited to, performing housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.

• Observe all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when required. Report any accidents and unsafe conditions to management.

• Replenish supplies.

• Must be available for overtime work when necessary.

• Maintain and practice manufacturing procedures.

Job Summary

Operate extruder machines to produce products which conform to part print. Assure products meet all quality specifications and are made according to the latest procedures and standards. Set up extrusion equipment to produce parts to specification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set Up extrusion machines by installing dyes, machine screws, and sizing rings to manufacture parts according to specifications using approved set up sheets to cycle machines
  • Weigh materials and other specified ingredients per specifications/instructions and Load blended materials in hopper on molding machines as needed
  • Operate extrusion machines to produce specified product according to customer specifications and ensuring Quality of the parts.
  • Inspect Parts for defects and make necessary corrections to troubleshoot them out of the process. Escalate when help is needed
  • Utilize the Manufacturing Execution System to update job data, material usage, locate process sheets, view prints, etc.
  • Measure Parts according to print guidelines using calipers, rulers, and other measuring devices.
  • Meet Productivity standards on a consistent basis. Escalate issues to management that will affect productivity.
  • Purge machines during the changeover process to ensure the machine is ready for the next cycle.
  • Set Up and Operate the cutter to cut tubing to specified dimensions.
  • Label and Seal Bags
  • Operate the auto winder removing spools f completed product and setting up the next spool to ensure proper operations of the auto winder
  • Set up the printer to properly label tubing per specifications
  • Suggest work instruction corrections/recommendations to help foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Perform other related tasks, including but not limited to, performing housekeeping tasks required to keep work areas clean and organized.

Field Service Technician

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

***While this position is remote, candidates must live in the Houston, Texas area***

With safety as the top priority, the Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Performs troubleshooting services to aid customers in resolving issues and help achieve maximum potential from our solutions. Will be the primary representative at the concrete manufacturing plant. Will install and maintain admixture dispensing systems for each Ready-Mix producer.

The FST will be required to interface regularly with plant management, batch plant operator and personnel. Based at home, the candidate will spend approximately 80% of their time as the only GCP/Chryso employee at the customer sites, thereby requiring candidate to work independently. Schedule flexibility is required. Field visits may be scheduled late at night and/or very early in the morning.

Installation, Maintenance and Repair

  • Technical work pertaining to admixture dispensing equipment includes, but is not limited to installation, preventive and scheduled maintenance, calibration, and emergency and service repair
  • Coordinate problem resolution with other employees as needed always serving as the local liaison and first line of contact to the customer.

Customer Relations:

  • Assist Field Sales Representatives in winning and maintenance of customer contracts by building and maintaining professional relationships with customers by performing regular site visits not necessarily relative to equipment needs or outages.
  • Regular site visits to check on admixture levels and customer needs.
  • Must have sound judgment, excellent communication &time management skills, & the ability to represent the company with customers in a professional manner.
  • Understand the impact of customer satisfaction to achieve corporate goals.

Planning & Scheduling of Dispenser Service Work:

  • An independent self-starter, self-directed person who possesses the ability to diagnose and determine requirements, plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly events in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer.
  • Interact directly with internal as well as external customers daily and demonstrate organizational skills, planning skills, customer orientation and project management skills.
  • Responsible for managing ‘response time’ consistent with customer expectations or agreement.
  • Must be on continuous call to respond to customer requests for assistance; diagnoses and solves technical problems, providing on-site assistance to customer locations for proper application of our equipment/products.

Equipment Service Administration:

Proficient with computers in order to order equipment, Warehouse part re-stocking, Expense reports, Service Management System compliance, Preventative Maintenance, calibration scheduling and compliance, actively control expenses and demonstrate stewardship of company resources, maintain real time participation CRM reporting systems.

Other Duties:

  • Complete all safety training & Observe all safety procedures, both of Saint-Gobain & those of host companies.
  • Develop a solid understanding of concrete/concrete industry, most importantly the operations of a concrete plant.
  • Recommend modifications and product changes to improve reliability of equipment
  • Work with R&D providing input to new system designs or researching/testing concept of operation of new parts and providing input to improve reliability & performance

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ years' experience in mechanical/engineering work (1 year of education beyond high school counts as 1 year of experience)
  • Experience with computer systems configuration, mechanical systems, pneumatic systems, 12/24-volt DC electrical systems, and hydraulic system principles
  • Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized and detail oriented, particularly about maintaining records
  • Hands on Electro-Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, meters, gauges

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree

Entry-Level Production Operator

Lynchburg Mill is seeking an hourly Entry-Level Production Laborer to train and learn various production positions within the paper mill.

The position reports to the on-shift Production Supervisor, but at times may report to other managers within the mill.

The production laborer is expected to follow all plant safety rules and procedures. This is a shift-based position, and employees are expected to work all shifts as scheduled, including weekends and holidays. Overtime is offered, planned, and unplanned, and employees will be expected to work overtime without notice on rare occasions.

Primary duties include:

  • Safely performing a wide range of tasks that include operating forklifts, stacking/moving materials, finishing rolls, material set-up, and maintaining a clean/organized workspace.
  • Various other tasks as assigned.

Available Roles:

  • Coating Operator - Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tapes - The position is responsible for operating an Adhesive Coating oven to produce pressure sensitive adhesive tape. Must pass and be certified in Static and Grounding as well as Bonding training. Eligible for additional $1.00/hr after 90 days
  • Extrusion Line Operator - Extruded Tape - The position is responsible for extruding raw materials into a film that is rolled up into roll form. Employee is responsible for the production, paperwork, and storage of the PTFE Film Extruded for their machine
  • Converting Operator - Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tapes - The position is responsible for the converting of log rolls of PSAT to smaller rolls. Employee is responsible for operating a rewind or lathe slitter to convert to customer specification and order

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

We are seeking candidates with the following:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • You will need to be reliable and punctual, able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive, and lift up to 25-50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, use simple math and use basic hand held measuring tools.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • While prior manufacturing experience is preferred, we will provide on-the-job training for qualified applicants.

Process (WCM/Lean) Engineer

The Process/WCM Engineer is responsible for driving optimization and improvement initiatives at the Orange, CT Omniseal Solutions plant. As part of the Engineering Team, the incumbent provides technical expertise and change management support to achieve site objectives. The Process Engineer develops and maintains process control strategies and standards, ensuring clear and efficient communication with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, tool room, facilities, finance, customer service, and cross-functional agile teams.

In addition to process engineering responsibilities, the position supports World Class Manufacturing (WCM) program activities as needed. This includes participating in focused improvement projects, assisting with WCM training, and providing guidance on WCM tools and methodologies to plant teams. WCM responsibilities include:

  • Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Train small groups on the WCM philosophy and tools
  • Develop process control strategies and standards to improve operational efficiency
  • Assist the plant in the identification and prioritization of cost deployment projects.
  • As a WCM Subject Matter Expert and Business Partner, provide training, support, and direction to plant teams as appropriate to help them identify, analyze, and solve operational problems.
  • Mentor colleagues to take ownership & use the WCM tools/methods in their daily work.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) relative to the WCM program and report cumulative progress
  • Serves as a 5S Plant Champion and supports 5S throughout the facility.
  • Supporting site WCM pillars as required (the site currently has an active People pillar and EHS pillar)

  • Support digital shelf readiness for new product introductions, promotional campaigns, and seasonal transitions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with merchandising, operations, IT, and supply chain teams to manage new product data and resolve data-related issues.
  • Support system enhancements and data integration initiatives that improve retail execution.

Process Optimization & Documentation

  • Analyze and improve data workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Document business rules, data standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Develop dashboards and reports that provide insights into retail performance, inventory levels, and customer behavior.
  • Support monthly reporting for business reviews, scorecards, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets to inform merchandising and operational decisions.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Business Analytics, or related field, required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in retail data management, business analysis, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and resolve complex data challenges.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with retail systems (POS, ERP, IDM/IMA) and e-commerce platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and communication skills.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $79,500 to 123,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,400 to $135,800 Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
