Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic will carry out repair and preventive maintenance activities. This includes promptly diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing parts for flat roll steel slitting lines, packaging equipment, banding tools, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, productivity, and reliability standards.
  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance schedules and procedures in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate logs and documentation.
  • Communicate repair timelines exceeding 24 hours to scheduling and production teams.
  • Systematically record equipment downtime and completed repairs.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts for maintenance supplies, parts, and services, including annual inspections of material handling equipment.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the transfer and installation of machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions, ensuring full compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide daily updates on equipment requiring preventive maintenance, repairs, or part replacements.
  • Create and maintain reporting tools and documentation.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to maintenance methods, systems, safety, productivity, and service quality.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5 + years of experience, preferred in a steel processing or steel-making plant environment.
  • Hydraulic systems and heavy equipment experience is essential.
  • Red Seal Certificate (asset).
  • Electronic/Instrumentation maintenance experience (asset).
  • Welding skills operating MIG and TIG welders (asset).
  • Forklift & overhead crane repair knowledge (asset).

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to physically lift material up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work shift schedules according to accommodate production demands as required.
  • Able to work overtime as required.

Lead the shift production crew as a technical resource and ensure operators are working safely, staffing is adequate, product quality is achieved, and production goals are met.

  • Plan, organize, and execute shingle production. Work with scheduling to adjust production plans to meet customer needs.
  • Use data to adjust operating conditions within limits to ensure quality product.
  • Partner with safety, maintenance, quality, and engineering to ensure issues are raised and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Complete production reports and wage changes, administer the progressive discipline and attendance policies.

  • Five years of experience in asphalt roofing manufacturing or other industrial manufacturing, preferably continuous processing.

Pay Transparency:

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $76,300.00 to $117,700.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

  • Define digital design vision & strategic roadmap aligned with product, marketing, and UX goals. Own design direction for enterprise-level experiences including portals, websites, landing pages, and campaign destinations.
  • Lead and executes all UX and design stages from discovery to development, including user flows, journey mapping, usability testing, and behavior analytics to inform design decisions and drive measurable engagement improvements.
  • Develop and scale design system frameworks, ensure consistency across all platforms, and govern digital brand expression through reusable UI patterns and accessibility standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in UX, Digital Strategy, or similar strongly preferred
  • 8+ years in progressively responsible digital design/UX roles.
  • A thorough understanding of visual design, hierarchy, information architecture, interaction models, and user experience.
  • Proven leadership in digital product/interface design within marketing, ecommerce, or SaaS environments.

  • Assist Supervisor(s) in day-to-day operations, work flows and communication of distribution center objectives
  • Communicates with leads across other shifts to ensure dock flow and proper order movement
  • Periodically audits all outbound processes and coordinates mandatory order audits
  • Verifies/completes LTL dock safety required documents (OHD inspections, maintenance forms, glad lock/wheel chock process)
  • Communicates with partners outside of the DCE to resolve issues causing delays in the shipment and completion of orders (contacting carriers, customer service via email or phone)
  • Lead, motivate, and listen to team in order to effectively maintain and grow overall productivity

Requirements

  • HSD or GED preferred; 2+ years of relevant work experience in a warehouse setting in lieu of
  • 3+ years freight processing and/or logistics experience required
  • 1+ years LTL processing preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams required
  • Leads by example by complying with and assuring associates' compliance with all Saint-Gobain Environmental, Health and Safety practices, Company policies and operational procedures required

  • Essential Functions:

  • Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Vendor Relationship & Management:
    • Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, support vendor onboarding and qualification processes, and ensure ongoing compliance with procurement and risk management policies. Participate in supplier performance reviews and escalate quality or delivery concerns when needed. Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers, track performance against expectations, and escalate issues as needed. Participate in supplier reviews and help ensure corrective actions are implemented where delivery, quality, or service gaps exist.
  • Cost Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
    • Support cost analysis, material substitution reviews, and supplier benchmarking to identify savings opportunities. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and supply chain efficiency enhancements to drive greater value across the procurement function. Serve as a point of contact for operational teams, providing guidance on purchasing processes, order tracking, and supplier capabilities. Support coordination across functions to improve transparency and supply chain responsiveness.

Senior Operations Optimization Manager

The Sr. Operations Optimization Manager, positioned within the SPG US organization, will play a key role in building an integrated manufacturing network across North America. Initially focused on Vinyl Siding and later expanding to other SPG product lines, this role will drive alignment, efficiency, and consistency across plants.

Partnering with the Director of Operations, Strategic Projects, and plant leadership, the Sr. Operations Optimization Manager will support SPG US and SPG CAN Operations in developing and executing operational strategies and Policy Deployment Must Win Battles. Through disciplined project management, they will ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and with clear communication to stakeholders.

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, Strategic Projects, this role will implement a cohesive operational framework to optimize productivity, quality, delivery, sustainability, and cost performance across the North American siding network. The position will also collaborate with R&D and Technology & Industrial Performance teams to enable smooth product transfers between plants, ensuring the necessary equipment, tooling, materials, and skilled resources are in place.

In addition to supporting day-to-day operations, the Sr. Operations Optimization Manager will provide technical leadership to ensure readiness for growth initiatives identified in the Long-Range Plan (LRP).

This position requires a collaborative leader with strong experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, raw material handling, data analytics, ERP/MES systems, and change management. Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential to deliver impactful results across a diverse and complex network.

Strategic Manufacturing Network Optimization:

  • Acts as the subject matter expert for SPG businesses collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, Quality, and R&D teams to evaluate current and future capacity needs to support demand fluctuations and new product introductions, and to lead initiatives to optimize and scale manufacturing operations across the SPG North America network efficiently, balancing cost, quality, and speed, and ensuring business continuity.
  • Execute a comprehensive strategy to optimize the North America vinyl manufacturing network, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth, sustainability, and financial goals.
  • Identify opportunities to improve capacity utilization, streamline operations, and reduce costs across the network that touch both manufacturing footprint and product/brand platforms.
  • Optimize service and seamless transition for our customers across plants, along with consistent quality at a high standard aligned with our brand positioning in the marketplace.

Performance Analysis and Project Management, and Execution:

  • Drive strategic initiatives to enhance production capabilities, reduce waste, improve lead times and meet business sustainability goals across SPG manufacturing sites.
  • Lead large-scale network optimization and sustainability projects, including plant consolidations and expansions, and new capability onboarding to support product innovation and sustainability.
  • Ensure timely execution of projects while managing budgets, resources, and risks effectively.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership either remotely from a project basis or on-site to ensure Operational readiness for growth initiatives as defined in the business LRP.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position, which is $133,000 to $213,000 per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 17 % of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is $155,610.00 -$249,210.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and, by nature, can vary based on company and individual performance and are not a guarantee.
