The Manufacturing Engineer II plays a crucial role in leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, and manufacturing methods for new and existing products within an ISO13485 regulated environment. The ideal Manufacturing Engineer II develops solutions to problems using basic engineering principles, concepts, and theories that drive cost reductions and efficiency improvements. On average, this role is responsible for up to $300k in CapEx over 2 – 5 yearly projects.

A successful Manufacturing Engineer II collaborates with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align on project goals, KPIs, and timelines. With that information, they plan, manage, and execute New Product Introductions (NPIs), new equipment introductions, design changes, qualifications, validations, and equipment improvements. Additionally, they assess equipment, tooling, and product specifications to ensure proper function.

Lastly, the Manufacturing Engineer II drives continuous improvement and optimization efforts, serving as a reliable subject matter expert for Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $79,500 to $123,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $87,450 to $135,850. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Forklift(Rail Car Loader) Operator

In this position, employees will be responsible for the working in the rail car loading operation which includes operating a forklift, handling inventory, working in & around semi-trailers, rail cars, understanding the safe movement of traffic in & out of the rail car loading area, and the securing of rail cars for loading. The Financial Analyst will support the Plant Controller for Saint-Gobain Life Sciences' manufacturing locations, in Portage, WI & Poestenkill, NY, with adherence to financial policies and ICRF controls and improving internal business processes to support the Life Sciences growth/profitability model.

Will provide cost analysis, standard cost establishment, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Will account for all aspects of cost accounting including variance analysis and month-end closing.

Will provide staff and divisional management, accurate and timely information that will assist them in monitoring performance in order to reach company established goals and objectives.

Will complete specially assigned projects by the Site Controller/Staff as required.

Essential Functions

  • Provide cost analysis, standard cost establishment, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis & support to site management.
  • Ensure prompt month-end closing, issue management reports.
  • Provide non-routine accounting information to site controller, BU controller & other financial groups.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts/WCM.
  • Undertake project work assigned by Site Controller which includes multiple projects covering varying accounting needs of facility.

Required Qualifications/Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in financial analysis & cost accounting.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to analyze financial data & trends.
  • Proficiency in financial concepts & math.
  • Experience with analytic tools & software, such as SQL, Excel, etc.
  • High-level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis.
  • Travel upwards of 20%, Domestic; Required.

VIE Program & Immigration Specialist

The Mobility and Immigration team supporting Saint-Gobain North America is seeking a VIE Program and Immigration Specialist to join the team. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Mobility Immigration and HR Compliance Programs, this role will oversee the operational management of the French Volontariat International en Entreprise (VIE) program in the United States and Canada, while also supporting foreign students and new hires with F1 and J1 visas in the United States. This position ensures smooth integration, compliance with visa and employment regulations, and an exceptional experience for all international participants. This role is key to the functioning of the different Mobility programs (VIE, Immigration) as all aspects are centralized within the department. The incumbent is expected to be involved in individual cases and will be accountable for supporting and administering the VIE Program for North America.

 

VIE Program Coordination, support and development:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the French company deploying VIE participants to the U.S. and Canada
  • Manage all administrative processes related to the program, including work permits, visas, and compliance with immigration laws
  • Coordinate onboarding and integration of VIE participants in host companies
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of VIE assignments to ensure alignment with program goals
  • Act as a resource for VIE participants, providing guidance on professional, cultural, and logistical matters
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during assignments
  • Develop best practices and recommendations to improve program implementation
  • Participate in regular Review meetings with France as to identify next step for VIE (Local hire or return)

 

Support for F1 and J1 Visa Holders (Full Time Employees & Foreign Interns):

  • Manage all aspects of onboarding, employment authorization (e.g., OPT, STEM OPT extensions), and compliance for foreign students with F1 visas
  • Provide guidance to host companies and participants on J1 visa requirements, including employer sponsorship, SEVIS tracking, and DS-2019 forms
  • Collaborate with immigration attorneys to ensure adherence to visa regulations
  • Assist participants with transitioning between visa statuses as needed, such as from F1 to H1B or other work visas
  • Local payroll to implement (provide direction to HR when needed)
  • Audit payroll (FICA status to manage) and provide tax information to visa holder when appropriate

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure the programs complies with immigration requirements and tax regulations in both the U.S. and Canada
  • Maintain detailed records and generate periodic reports on the program's status and outcomes
  • Track vacation days and location of J-1 visa holders (Shared calendar) and follow-up if needed
  • Approve/Deny expenses submitted (TECC)

Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the Maintenance team to maximize and optimize the reliability of designated equipment, process, and facility usage while ensuring employee safety and product quality. The incumbent directly supervises all Maintenance Technicians and the SAP Coordinator. Environmental, Health & Safety

  • Accountable for safe maintenance activities. Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels. Will promote , teach and improve safety systems and procedures to employees and contractors such as LOTO, permits to work, safety audits
  • Accountable for safety management of employees, to include completion of safety audits and inspections, safety meetings, investigations of reported incidents, required job and safety training and continuous evaluation employee training needs.
  • Provides an accident-free worksite while maintaining status as the preferred supplier of quality products and services with a goals of yield, availability, and reliability
  • Assures good housekeeping practices following 5S systems, enforces plant rules and safety regulations

Leadership & Team Development

  • Directly supervises Maintenance Technicians (mechanical, electrical & multi-craft) and SAP Coordinator including, but not limited to approving timesheets, flex holiday and vacation requests, and managing department overtime needs
  • Holds Maintenance Technicians accountable and administers corrective/disciplinary procedures when employees are not in compliance with Company policies and procedures or CBA
  • Fosters Teamwork, collaboration, and trust in the work environment
  • Identifies development opportunities for the maintenance team in both technical and soft skills
  • Maintain, use and train Implements the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems

Plant & Reliability Support

  • Plan, schedule and monitor assigned installations, maintenance and repair activities, requisitioning parts and supplies; identify necessary resources and ensure availability through SAP work order system. Accurately track equipment history and parts usage through SAP
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize plant downtime and maximize safety; this includes preventative and predictive activities
  • Work with maintenance personnel and the maintenance planner to ensure correct prioritization and timely completion of all work orders and sets out work on a weekly or day to day basis
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers of key process equipment
  • Maintain various department records, files, reports, and equipment ledgers required for the proper and efficient operation of plant equipment
  • Performs root cause analysis as well as implements sustainable countermeasures on losses related to maintenance
  • Track downtime across the plant related to electrical and mechanical events and develop action plans to improve performance
  • Improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs through statistical analysis to identify failure trends
  • Develop and maintain standard operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide creative value-added solutions; ability to think outside the box
  • Improve mechanical systems using innovative ideas and practices.
  • Work with engineering team(s) for more complicated maintenance and/or process improvements.

Duties:

• Ensures operation of mobile and stationary machinery by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, hydraulic system, pneumatic system, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, schematic, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions; conducts preventative maintenance

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

Duties/Responsibilities

EHS and 5S

  • Ensure safe work environment in plant.

  • Be able to read mechanical schematics and perform basic mechanical repairs.
  • Have a working knowledge of CMMS system (SAP), being able to create and close Work Orders (WO), and identify open WO.
  • Aid and assist operations as needed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of fluid power systems, including reading schematics.

Maintain forklift and manlift licenses.

Production Supervisor - Houston, TX

Supervises the daily activities of production personnel and provides key leadership to safety, quality, housekeeping, and cost reduction while promoting positive employee relations within the production team.

  • Communicate & document employee expectations and assess employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees.
  • Oversees the training of production employees to ensure they receive adequate training prior to operating any of the manufacturing equipment and that they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Assists in performing root-cause analysis as well as implementing sustainable countermeasures on losses related to production.
  • Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas.
  • Reviews and approves employee time in the UKG timekeeping system and ensures employees are paid the correct hours and wages in accordance with the respective site's pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements.
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Investigate EH&S incidents – Injuries, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental and Property/Equipment Damage. Conduct EHS and SMAT Audits to support the plant's EHS goals. Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilities.
  • Participate in the development, understanding, and review of all position job safety assessments and standard operating procedures and participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.

Is this job for you?
